Has anyone dynoed a Ruckus? I would like to know what rpm peak power is made when their is no rev limiter so I can tune my variator better.

IHAR did at one point but good luck getting ahold of him at this point... I also think that Derek (Litew8 on TR) did at the same time but his was with stock bore and HO head. You might try seeing if he knows. On another note, Victor (Sanjuro) found that the Polini, Posh and KN variators all hit around 8200 RPMs about 9 seconds into a test run, so it would make sense that these companies knew something that we don't about making power at those RPMs. Or not...

I believe the actual dyno results from the rear wheel were at best 4hp. I think I've seen quite a few results in the 3.2-3.8 range. Honda claims 5hp @ 8000 RPM at the crank but the drivetrain is only about 80% efficient so that works out to about 4hp at the rear wheel. It seems that if you actually dyno at 4hp you are doing quite good.
As for where the power peaks, I don't think it's much past 8K RPM. At the highest, it's around 9K RPM. I suspect it's in the 8-8.5K range.
