I thought they were all carbed, do you know when they went to FI and are you getting better fuel economy and power (have you raced, lol any carbed zoomers). I'll be very interested in hearing how your mods went. Thks Hans

I believe both Japan and Europe get fuel injection, I don't know why we didn't?

F.I. Ruckus = slower but better fuel economy. We might get it for 06. Perhaps we don't have it now cuz Honda knows we want max power or maybe cuz their regulations are strictor or cuz Honda wants to test it out more before sending it our way.
A F.I. ruckus is harder to significantly modify cuz the system can only adjust for so much change. Personally I'd rather have a carburatored one.

Sorry to break your hearth SK but ONLY Europe has a fuel injected Zoomer the Japanese is carbureted also, they have the fi engine in the Dio, and again Dandy is right 65 kph is about 40 mph, and we do not get that excited when we get to 40, the fun part is that in Europe they get the zoomer in red, yellow, olive drab and black, but they are complaining because they do not get a camo I guess the grass is greener on the other side

You can see the difference in the exhuast on the PGM-FI model. There is acctually some sort of breather hose going to the exhuast. I really want to see what the PGM-FI unit looks like. Can you post some pics of it zoomer73???

8-)That is not a breather hose, it is the oxygen sensor wires, the fuel injected engine is a close loop system and the muffler has a cat in it (close loop systems, means the computer monitors the amount of oxygen in the exhaust and adjust accordingly, as oppose to open loop where they just use a preset value), the Japanese version in the dio Z4 is an open loop system and doesn't have a cat (catalytic converter), for us the European version is more attractive, because if we stay within the limits of the muffler flow, any mods done to the intake, engine, etc. the computer (ECM) will compensate and adjust ;D ;D

Thks Hans Yes m8 my zoom is fuel injected and till now is a good joice 'coz i run for 23-24 miles/liter really not bad, the output is constant with any temperature and with this the carburization is always ideal!!

If you're really feeling ambitious you can take the head off your engine and measure where the cam goes for us! That way we can know if we can bolt one on to our scoots. (This is not a serious request as a realize that's a ton of work).
