So this is my first serious post Ok Rucksters!...here's the lowdown: I bought an '07 ruckus brand new...and I am very much in love with it. However, I have met a few other scooterists and love to ride with them but they have two strokes. I'm totally aware that I won't be able to come close in performance to them but I'd like some top end and acceleration increases. Anyways, I love my Ruckus tand am going to stick with it 'cause it's the coolest scooter in the world! Here's the list of parts that are in transit as I write this: POSH Super Battle Ignition, Leo Vince Exhaust, Malossi variator with 4 different roller sets to tune, 6 different jets from Bowls for my stock carb. I already have a K&N air filter kit installed. Would it be alright to just throw everything on except the variator, tune the carb if needed and then figure out what rollers give me the right combination of acceleration/top end?? After reading everyones threads, I think that this would be the way to go. Any suggestions? Thanks to everyone who maintains this awesome site and all of the contributors.

Basically these parts can be divided into 3 catagories. There's: 1) Parts that affect your air flow (exhaust, K&N filter) 2) Parts that affect your gearing (Malossi variator and rollers) 3) Parts that do nothing (Super Battle Coil). What I would do is toss on the Super Battle Coil first because it doesn't really do anything. It won't significantly change anything. At the same time I would install either the airflow affecting parts (and then spend hours rejetting) OR I would install the Malossi variator and spend some time fine tuning the gearing. I would recommend not trying to tune both the jetting and the gearing at one because that can get confusing. You can certainly do it, but it's probably easier to do it seperately. I'd do the gearing first and then toss on the new exhaust and K&N filter and rejet that.
