Hello.
First, to all the staff, thank you for your time in sharing your experience and knowledge about Rucks. I've been a regular visitor to your website and I've never posted a question, until now.
Is it possible to put on an original exhaust, but to keep other modifications that were made to a 2004 Ruckus?
The used 2004 Ruckus I bought last year had a bunch of mods done to it; a moriwaki exhaust, a foam pod filter to the end of the carburetor and a CDI box.
I want to get the Ruckus back to "original" condition. It quite "noisy" right now and doesn't seem to have the power it should/might. The carburetor is clean, as is the oil in the engine. I've replaced the cheap foam pod with a K&N pod (although the bike is missing filters that should have been put on when the original air box filter was removed. I've considered getting an OEM replacement air box filter, or maybe I should get the additional K&N filters.....
Anyway, someone is selling a used original exhaust on eBay, which looks to be in good condition. I can install it myself, but how will it effect my Ruckus? Will I have to take it all the way back to it's original parts? I'm waiting to hear back from the seller about what year the exhaust is, but maybe I shouldn't bother? Or maybe I should buy an OEM one from the Honda dealer?
As before, thanks for all you do to keep our scooters in working order, scootergal

kairesq,
I lost the eBayauction so I'll be holding onto the Moriwaki a bit longer (it has the green carbon fiber finish).
I recently won an auction for an original air box, filter and tubing. So I'll start with getting that installed and then tuning up the motor.
