As i have posted before i am trying to write a book on the care and maintenance of the ruckus/metro scooter. It will include pictures and how-to, plus recommendations on the most common problems we have with the ruckus plus a couple of chapters on cheap mods, specially hi performance for it. what i need is for you guys to let me know what would you like to find in such a book if you were going to buy it and any ideas will be welcome

[glow=red,2,300][shadow=red,left,300]I don't really have ideas for you, for me ruckuscentral is like a book on the ruck. but you could do something like a synthesis of ruckuscentral. [/shadow][/glow]
just wanted to test the shadow and glow.......

I happen to like the FAQ thread and all of the technical information I just never respond as Im a newb to ruckdom and am just trying to soak in all the information I can before giving advise to others so go crazy with the technical information thats what I want in a book.

Hi, i am getting ready to print the book, it will be probably another month or so with the proof reading and all the other stuff (like getting better pics for some topics and improve my crude drawings) So i would like to know how many people would like one in order to figure out how many to print, i do not want to print too many and get stuck with them, later i will post some pages so you guys can have an idea how it will look like, and maybe getting some more input and improve the final book. Also if any of you have a company that would like to sponsor it and be named on the back cover let me know

I do not know the price yet, as it depends a lot on the number of book i will print, but i will try to keep it around 20-25 dollars each, with around 250 pages black and white, with a lot of illustrations

Hey Chan man, Not sure I'd buy a book as I be getting out of the Ruck scene, but heres some ideas of what should be included Disk Brake Install Torquing Procedure for ARP Headbolts Building a BB motor - should include recomendation to deck both surfaces to prevent headgasket failure. Bleeding Disk brakes (there is a nifty vacuum pump/brake bleeder kit ;D) Tuning the bike - start with adjusting valve gaps, move onto carb, etc. Variator Install Aftermarket belt Install Clutch Springs Install CDI Install Alarm Install Aftermarket Airfilter Install - Hose routings, which goes where, etc. Sanjuro has a gooder on TR, maybe ask if you could publish it Aftermarket Exhaust install - how to install without smushing the gasket Extension kit install Veypor or aftermarket guage install

Have you ever read the "Guide for the complete Idiot" book written for the VW Beetle? That would be a great format in which to base any tech manual on.

I will buy your book! A section on everything to check, clean, etc. when troubleshooting or buying a used, even a new, Ruckus would be helpful. I live in the boonies sometimes so no internet access. Keep us updated. Thanks..
