You could probably make that for around $10 just get a plastic jug with a lid, attach some plastic hose to it and get a priming pump (you can get a really good one at walmart in the boat section, it’s a big heavy duty rubber bulb with one way flow, about $6.00)
Hell, I’m gona make one now!

:-XI'd be afraid that it wouldn't get the most important volume of oil out, which is the last thimble-full that has all the metal shavings (if there are any visible) in it. I doubt that the suction device could be directed to or lucklily hit the spot where they collect.
If you've ever watched oil drain out of a vehicle, it is the very last ounce or less that has the really bad (for your engine) stuff. So, folks who put the drain plug back in before the final drips have had time to finish their path out, are just recycling that junk in their motor.

Well, if you used that say to get the majority of the oil out, then pulled the plug with say, a plastic cup under it... since you can't fit much under the thing... dunno, just thinking.

Yeah I ussually run the extra 400 ml of new oil through the engine before I fill it up with the 600 ml of fresh full capacity. Just to flush out any crap that may be hanging out. 400 ml and 600 ml being the volume of a new bottle of oil. Obviously....>

I prefer to buy a 4 liter jug of oil so I get a better price per liter and that way I don't have extra bits laying around. I do like the idea of the 400ml flush but I don't think it's important enough for me to use up my Mobil 1 15w50 cuz it's pretty expensive.

I think the owners manual says 600 miles (1000km). I think it kinda depends how often you drive it. For me I put about 500km/wk on it so I change the oil every 2000km (4 wks) but I do use Mobil 1. If you only drive it a few kms/wk and a 1000km is gonna take you a year then I suggest changing it every couple months. This is just my opinion and there's a huge range of opinions on oil. I'd say basically don't let it get way over 1000km (like I do) or longer than 6mths-ish.
