I have a cpl questions some may sound a bit elementary lol. I have 2 ruks an 03 and an 07 i have MRP exhaust a kitaco cdi box and a cold air intake. I have put all the aftermarket parts on both bikes and i havent seen any effects with the cdi box . I don't know if sumone has a possible instruction sheet or could explain or email me with a picture on how to do it . The instructions they sent were in Japanese so unfortunately I don't speak the language lol. I alos wanted to know if I were to add a pc20 carb which on should I put on ,seems to be many different sizes like a 20mm or 17 mm or 17.5 mm so im confused on which would be the best one to get. I plan on doing the Gy6 swap hers soon. I also am planning on selling my 07 which has a few other body things done to it i have removed the plastics on it including the lower cowl under the gas tank. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate your time. I am in Indianapolis, Indiana and would sell the 07 with 1542 miles on it for approx 1700.00 withthe aftermarkets parts which I have prob 6ta 7 hundred just in aftermarket parts so anyone interested jsu shoot me an email... thanks for your time and hopefully some information...Mike

this may want to be edited out from a sticky because they sell a variator where it makes you have a top speed of 50mph... Tech has come far for these things

I must agree. I have put a lot of time and money to to my ruckus to 50. How u tune is a major factor. Plus I'm over 250 lbs. Ya got to have all The right combos.

I am sorry but i still have to see a ruckus that with the stock engine can do 50 mph on a flat road constantly, 50 on a downhill is totally useless, and doing 50 only when the planets align and the gods are on my side is only a lucky event So it will remain a sticky and you are welcome to prove me wrong and post your recipe for a 50 mph ruckus

This is still the case. Blue moon rucks need not apply.

me and my buddies rucks do 45 on the flats stock and we are banging againts the rev limiter hardcore im 215 and he is 160 he is slightly ahead of me about 2 ruckus lengths! nice cruise speed is about 40 on the flats at about 3/4 throttle! So im sure 50 for a cruise wouldnt be hard on a stock engine with maybe a dif cdi that lets you up a 1-2k might not be great on the engine to run that high revs for long trips but idk at least you can cruise at high 40s and low 50s

Mid 40s is rare, usually the stock late model top around 42-43, so you are over most of the ruckus riders, however getting more than that is not easy at all, i had mine mod to the max (and believe me, i am very good at that) and could get to 45 regularly and once in a blue moon to 46, but never got to 47 on flat, and that was with a big bore and ported head, camshaft and lightened valve train

Before my apes, I could consistently hit 48 on flats with good wind conditions. Shaved drive face, KN variator, 6.8 g rollers (or 7g sliders), crappy gates belt. Mine is an 09. Stock before break in I would hit 45 regularly. I have 2 roommates with new 2011's that would do 45 easy bone stock and 2 neighbors with 2 2011's that would do the same. It might help that I'm magical!

On TR I doubted a guy that claimed 62 mph ( all day, up and down hills, in 110 degree heat), who after the thread disappeared. I somehow offended chanito ,enough that he posted that he was offended. I then find this thread that is based on doubt concer Ing 50 mph. Chanito, how did I offend you? I would like to understand and clear up what I hope is a misunderstanding.

The difference if that you did not doubt Mike Kojima claim, you called him a liar. I understand your doubt to such a claim, but not calling him a liar. I doubt seriously that you can reach 50mph with a stock GET motor, but that is not the same as saying they are a bunch of liars, some might have been able to do such a feat, but i have not been lucky enough to witness such a thing or even see one that can stay constantly on the upper 40s

I doubt seriously that you can reach 50mph with a stock GET motor, All stock 49cc scooters are designed to stay within a top speed of 30 mph. It's the law in most states. With a stock "right out of the box" Ruckus being the slowest 50 on the planet I can't believe there's anything short of major engine modifications that will make it approach 50 mph. I'm with Chanito. If you still claim yours can then prove it. Full video with gps verification on flat ground with no hurricane winds at your back.

Simple mechanical physics. It wouldn't matter if your Ruckus could put out 40bhp instead of 4bhp.. it would not go any faster because of the rev limiter. But it WOULD get there a hell of a lot quicker!

Ok so I have two questions. I have a 2012 ruck and i have put polini variator, yoshi carbon fiber pipe, and other body mods but nothing else to increase speed. I am at the point where i am about to re-jet. But I wanted to put some air filters on to remove the air box. So my questions are. Can i get rid of the PCV solenoid and what do i do with the pair valve. I have seen people claiming to put breather filters on it or just capping it off.
There is so much info online and to be honest this is the only website I actually trust.
ANY HELP?

It is posible to hit 50 mph on the stock motor with only bolt ons. I am not light, I weigh 200 lbs and have wide sholders, not good for aero. I can hit 50 on the flats on a good day without wind and with a high baro pressure. I have simple mods, PC20 carb, Polini variator, Posh CDI and coil, Big K&N filter, Yoshimura exhaust, thin synthetic oil kept slightly below 1/2 way point to reduce windage with oil cooler and a light flywheel. Most of the speed is due to careful tuning of the jets and variator weights for my weight. Contrary to what is said, I think an exhaust makes a difference once you have a carb and the correct jetting for it. I think most exhasts probably need to be re jetted. My speed is confirmed with a calibrated acewell speedo which reads about 3-4 mph less than stock at speed. I can easily smoke the local Ruckuses around here. You need to spend time with tuning. My Ruck hits big bore speeds.

I recently picked up a 2014 ruckus and I have installed a new intake with a UNI filter, a NCY CDI and custom build drag pipe. I am about 160lbs at 6'2 and am in Phoenix Arizona. My average speed is above 40mph (it does take some time) and on some flat roads I can go past the 45mph on the speedo, I am guess about 47mph the needle will reach to the light on the stock speedometer. Other than the mods I have mentioned it is stock, I am looking into variators and possible engine swaps.

It stays on 60 kph even though it's downhill. Everytime it hits 60 downhill i hear a sputtering sound or a viibrating aounds elsewhere nd wont go past 60kph. Anybody help me whats happening here please?
