Heyo, I could've added this to the old post, but I wanted to start from scratch. So here goes. Brand new 07 with 0 miles, untouched and looking pretty, but not good enough! So pull the motor and unbolt the frame. Add an A-bomb and the Kijima engine ext. and kickstand. Not bad, but still not good enough! Swap that stock seat with this seat-rack from japan. Oh yea, now we're gettin somewhere. Throw on a led brake light.(sat radio shouldn't hurt) And a screen kit. Well that's it so far. Got handlebars and windscreen on the way. Still need to get some bullet turn signals.

It was kinda spendy - about $260 with shipping - but I'm glad I got it. Bigger than anything else I've seen, and 1 of ONLY 2 (possibly) in the US! Jason at Battlescooter has the other one.

I looked at a seat kind of like that one but the price is what through me off, I just can't justify that much for it. It is bad though, make a hell of a camera mount.
Somebody needs to get out a welder and get to making an affordable one.

It looks like you used a piece of black painted ply wood on the rack. Thick plastic might be better and cheaper. If you can't find a plastic supply place, use a plastic cutting board. I built a rack for my motorcycle last year and used a plastic cutting board--lasts longer than wood, doesn't need painting, can be drilled really easy, and doesn't crack. I even found one in black color. I sold the motorcycle, so I don't have pictures. But I got the idea online, so some are floating around out there.

Yea, I had some scrap plywood in the shop - just wanted to see how it looked. I'll probably redo in some nice 3" teak strips, or might go crazy and do it in zebrawood or spalted maple! Whatever it is, it'll have to wait until I get the seat-rack and new handlebars powdercoated. I've used that "starboard" on my boat, might be a little slick to use for the rack. Not sure about cutting boards. My preference is to go with wood.

The black plastic is a step up from plywood, but teak strips would blow either away.

When you did the A-bomb and Kijama extension did you find that the coolant reservoir is now above the radiator and too close? I just did both (not that the A-Bomb has anything to do with it), and when the shock is fully compressed the reservoir bangs into the radiator cap. No to much, but I can see marks on the bottom of reservoir where the two have hit. They look especially close in the pics, as the rucks on the center stand which pushes the radiator up. When on the ground the gap opens a bit, but still it probably not good that the two are hitting.

Very nice. I love all the baggage. Is that rack still available? or was it a special one-off made rack?
