here's the pics i promised! the kickstand is a bicycle stand i cut down and beefed up rigid with a 1/4" bolt i drilled a hole for into the part below where it hinges. the stand is a telescoping rig. the bottom half has a set screw for height adjustment. i drilled it out to 3/16" and put in the long bolt to help with deployment and retraction. it works great. just kick 'er down and be on your way. it's so much easier than fooling with the bi-stand. the grips are for atvs which means i had to "skin" the right grip with a razor knife and glue it around the throttle with gorilla glue and cord wrapped around it till it dried. super glue WILL NOT WORK. don't bother with it. monkey snot is the way to go. the lights are 55 watts, i think. i don't seem to have a problem with battery drainage. i charge mine about every 3 weeks. just to keep'em all blindingly bright. the reverse light is a sylvania button light, 3 leds on 3 aaa batts. i soldered the light poles together and i have a rubber tube that the batts. go in in the battery box. the toggle switch on the top of the 2 below controls it. it's a good emergency light for roadside pit stops on dark highways. i got all these parts at wal-mart for around 55$. the wire stoneguards i got off ebay for 15$. they're made by Dick Cepek Baha-Proven. they're 5 3/4"dia. here's the color #'s: chrome-09710; black-09715; stainless steel-09720. they're for autos. i thought they were made for the ruck. they ain't. as you can see zip ties work just fine. mine are on TIGHT. but put them where i did. that's why they're so tight. one more thing to mention. almost forgot. the dohickys on the fenders are motion activated lights that have a red, green, and blue light in 'em that you put on bicycle valve stems to make a rainbow effect. little did i know that the ruck's are at 90 degrees to the wheel. they would hit the muffler and front forks. i got them for Transformus. the south-east regional burn, like a small burning man, held here at Deerfields campground festival site. there are glow sticks and glow wires and body paint and all that glowy $hit there all over everybody. i thought i'd tweak the ruck that way. i'm just hoping to get invited. they look pretty cool any way. they were like, 5 bucks for 2. and there's another light in the works but i'll let it be a surprise tho. in the meantime enjoy the new pics. i hope y'all get inspired by them. ride safe brother rucksters!
