As suggested I got the bike tuned up and valves checked as the base point to modification.
I am 5' 8" and about 155 lbs. With a bit of tail wind and a slope I can hit 64 kph but just running on a flat with no wind helping I get about 58 kph. On a steep hill it drops to 50 kph and a hill and head wind dropped me to 42 kph [felt like I could get off and walk].
The valves when checked were in spec but on the loose side [where I want them] and the plug looked good but it was changed anyway.
CDI, variator, rollers, jets, and airbox all to be done at once.

Tomorrow is install the mower on the tractor, finish waxing my car, oil change and wax for my wife's truck.
I generally don't work on any of my 4 bikes becuase I want it done correctly. Installing the parts is only step 1.
Then we start working on the carb and tuning, so he changes and I test ride.

For me installing the parts is step one on the fun, but congrats, and keep us posted on your mods performance

Got the variator, rollers, and CDI in this am. Of course the work was the rejetting.
Started with 4 1/2 inch holes in the air box and ended up with 7.
Started with an 85 jet as suggested but the plug looked lean so we went up to a 90.
Put 1 thick shim in but it was a bit boggy in mid range so we took it out.
Smooth and fast on take off, noticably more so up to 30 kph.
Holds 50-55 kph up hills. Got it up to an estimated 75 kph without tucking down a hill. Did not have my GPS on so the needle went all the way past the "HOT" light around to the bottom of the "temp" symbol.
It easily holds 60 kph on the flat and after a hill it settles in about 65 kph.
The plug still looks lean but I was only doing 2 k runs. I decided to leave it there until I can run maybe 300 k and ckeck it all again. Also want to check GPS speeds.
