Just a pic of how I picked up my 06 from across the state of Florida. Back seat was actually down with my son in his booster, no problem. BTW, an eBay purchase for $1600 with 230mi.

A little tighter fit than our Plymouth Voyager, but a much nicer ride, I'm sure.

If it's possible, it'd probably take a little bit of fanagling...

I believe you could, but the rear fender, and handlebars would have to be removed. With both rear seats removed there would be plenty of room for 2 and your stuff too. However your sitting position may be a little cramped. The fender here is between the front seats, so we did not have the seats adjusted forward any.
I had to tilt the Ruck to get the handlebars to clear the top. I don't know if you would be able to tilt the 2nd one to clear the first. So by removing them I would say no problem for 2 in the Element. I actually have the it on the stand in this pic. Didn't try any other way. The first attempt is what you see here.
If there is a will there is a way.
Not to mention the Element is a great vehicle all around. Comfortable, roomy, and an appetite for Rucks.

The guys from the Bay Area (Robomod and Jason of BSS) routinely stick two Rucks in the back of their Elements. These scoots even have the frame extension kit installed, but no rear fender.

Geez I love seeing other people getting nice looking rucks for almost free.... Well at least mine was!! I got mine from a friend who bought and barely rode it. It's an '09 and i bought it for $1500, but my favorite part was... IT HAD ONLY 12 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT!!! Since then back around Christmas driving just around my little town I've put 1100 miles on it. I love my Ruck
