Hey all,
I noticed that the operator's manual shows the BR should be brought into the dealer for a 600 mile checkup. But after getting the shop manual, it is basically checking all the bolts and nuts for tightness, oil change, valve inspection or adjustment.
The most complicated thing is the valve adjustment, but it's really simple. I figure I can do it myself and save some bucks and riding downtime.
Have any of you done your own 6oo mi checkup? Any reasons why it has to go to the dealer? Would it void the warranty if I do it myself (assuming I don't mess anything up?)

My dealer always lets me do my work and they stand behind my warranties. Helps to have a good friendship going with your local dealer........................

One of the owners paid for our meal at a Mexican resturant the other night as he was leaving......much better than coffee and donuts..................... ;D

Huh, I guess I got it all wrong, I usually bring donuts to the cycle shop when they do a good job on my machines. Now I see the light.
