anyone install one? I had one previously but didn't notice that much of a difference. But since installing a cdi I might get on again. any mods I have to do to increase performace? opening air box? etc? along with installing the filter?
thanks

Opening up the airbox might help... I know it helps bigger displacement engines so I assume it should be the same on the Ruckus.

hey acanz, I noticed your "tag line" listing all of your rides....
the ruckus isn't a stupid scooter.

Totally agree with CTrukus, the ruckus is a lot of thing but not a stupid scooter

The mower filter doesn't make much of a difference but it is a bit higher flowing so if your carb is adjusted properly it will help slightly.
I use one just because every little bit helps and because they are way cheaper. I get mine at Canadian Tire for about 6$ and from Honda a new filter is about 15-20$. Everyone should change their airfilter every so often.

Does the manual recommend when to change your air filter?

The Ruckus isnt really a stupid scooter, but one twist of the throttle on a CR250 and you just might think it is. The Ruckus is still fun for slower riding though.

Does the manual recommend when to change your air filter? Yes, as does your owner manual. You really should check it from time to time. If you ride in the dirt I would say every 20 hours or if it starts running bad. The Ruckus rules. I ride a CBR1100XX with a turbo to work everyday but the Ruckus is the one I enjoy the most. If I had all the time in the world I would ride the Ruckus to work everyday
