It is automatic...
Top speeds I've heard anywhere from mid sixties to mid nineties.

whats the top speed for the big ruckus and is it automatic ? CVT with auro-clutch... My 2005 BR: Conditions: 80f (27c), 70% humidity, flat road, no wind: Good acceleration to 70 MPH (indicated), slow climb to 75... may be more left, but I'm out of patience by 75. (Rider: 6'+, 200 lbs.+) I consider 70 MPH (indicated) the practical top speed.

At 248lbs my top speed just touched 70 in a tuck, the slightest upgrade quickly knocked it back to 62-65. All currently produced Honda scooters are auto belt drive. ;D

My top speed was 84mph. I am a pretty small guy. That was pushing it. 70mph is the mos comfortable speed for me on the highway. You will not get a ticket going uphill.

I have a 10% underdiven contra spring in transmission setup and a top speed of about 71 MPH, however i question what RPM the engine is at at this speed. Does anyone know if the BR has a rev limiter? And what the safe RPM range is?
Thanks, Tony NNJ

Hmm...I know the BR has a redline but I'm not sure what is it...I doubt it's higher than 8K.

I could keep up 70 mph pretty easily and got as high as 80mph (when drafting behind a semi) on the highway. I'm 6'2" 185.
