The other day, I got to thinking... After I had the old speedo mount welded on my new bars, I hated it. The new stem puts the handle bars to far forward so even after opening the top of the two covers (the opening around the stem) the speedo cable still was really tight around turns. I hated it, I wanted to take a sledge hammer to the damn speedo. But then I remember back in the day I had a nice mountain bike and bought one of those speedometers for it. You mount a sensor to the wheel and then a reader fo the fork. The wires are very small so it wouldn't be noticable; some are even wireless. Then you just mount that tiny monitor right to the bar. It's simple. It's not they veypor by any means but it has an average speed, max speed, trip meter and odometer. I think it would be a great help to all who have decided to switch bars and have had to zip tie the speedo to the new bars.

Good luck attaching the magnet to the wheel... I tryed on my CR250 and found out it wouldnt attach to the fatter dirtbike spokes MTB's dont have. I know the Ruckus wheel doesnt have spokes, but you run into the same problem because you have no way to mount the magnet effectively because it cant be at the bottom of the wheel. Because it couldnt fit anythin, I wound up putting it on my BMXer because I couldnt return it so now I look like a geek .
