BR owners beware! The left brake handle which should just control the rear brake controls the rear about 70% AND the front 30%. This is ok on pavement but it's not great on gravel and sand. Any off roader knows to stay off the front brake (especially in a turn) or you can fall down go boom. The first time it happened to me on the BR it really caught me by surprize and I corrected in time. Then I needed to find out why and discovered LINKED braking. Now I am really cautious as I ride on dirt, gravel and cow poop which is really slippery enuf without the sideways help of the front brake being applied. Here is the reason for some of the cow poop. Her name is April and was born to my 2.5 yr old Angus a week ago. She was up and running about within the hour of her birth, boy would that same progression make child rearing a whole lot easier and much cheaper 1/4 Angus 3/4 Holstein. The mom's name is Morgan and she thinks she's a lap cow. It was cute when she was a baby but not at 1000lbs.

Those offroad pics weren't Gaelicdog - He ain't that good looking! That's Chris McAskill, aka "Baldy", the owner of ADVRider.com. He bought the BR for his wife, but had to try it out off-road after reading about another member's dirt ride. See the report here: www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103030I recently bought that scooter from Dave, and cleaned about a pound of dirt out of the variator!

With regard to finding "nobby tires" to improve the BR's off road capability, did anyone find / know of any?

Duro/Dunlop makes tires called the 910's that are awesome knobbies. I know they make them in sizes that fit the little Ruckus but I'm not sure about the BR.
