So before buying a new ruckus and completely changing everything on it. Im debating to just build one from scratch and just replace the OEM parts with the modded ones of choice. but this is where my inexperience comes into play and the fact that i only have drawing to look at when it comes to seeing what actually replaces what...
I plan on replacing.... The whole engine with the helix 250 engine. The front and rear wheels and doin the disk brake from the Battle scooter store. Cosmetic pieces like mirrors, the racing floor board, handlebars, fenders. Wheelbase extension. Will probably find more stuff but cant think of it right now...
So if you guys can help me name pieces i dont need to order this will be a great help. And dont worry, once im done there will be pics, lots and lots of pics....

Ok, this is from someone who have build a bunch of vehicles from scratch, the thruth is that i did not finnish way more than the ones i did, the problem is that mainwhile you are building, more and more ideas keep popping up, and you keep updating your project and never finish it, after a while you get tired of not endding it and go on to other things, the only trick that worked was to take notes and keep building untill you finish and then go back to modify the finished vehicle according to your notes, it requires a lot of self discipline and a nagging wife to keep you focused

Yeah thanks for the ideas. After contacting ron ayers.com and not getting much help from the guy i was talking to, i think i may just buy a complete one and do the mods a lil at a time... but i still have a couple months till i have the money so i can see what happens within that time....

I think it is going to be cheaper in the long run to just buy a complete Ruckus first. OEM parts are always quite expensive to replace. Check the microfiche @ Ron Ayers to see exactly how many freaking parts there are on the bike!!!... It is not a small amount.

Yeah, thats one thing that kinda turned me off to doin it that way. I asked if i could order parts from just the whole sheet and the guy was like, nope one at a time. not very customer friendly in their email dept.

Sorry for causing trouble When I look at the shop scoot not much is left of the stock Ruckus. The good part about bikes or scoots is they are small. I've built or started building tons of cars too(Chanito is right) but scooters are like big models. I don't have good focus but I can do bikes and scoots no problem. If you want a OEM parts list for my scoot(less the OEM motor) email sales@battlescooter.com. It may be too much for some people... I don't know. If you do decide to buy a complete scoot I'll buy the parts you don't use.
