Hi gang, I thought I would share a new Google video I just uploaded. I was messing around today trying to learn how a new video editor (kdenlive) works in Linux... Not too shabbily is the answer. What better 'subject' than my lil yellow Zoomer enjoying some long grass? This is the rather long URL: video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-7462991739165557945&hl=en-GB

So, how do you have the camera mounted in the first of the video?
Oh, and looked pretty good, too.

You can actually see the camera in the film at the 19 second mark. It is one of those water-proof tubular helmet cams made by Oregon Scientific (the ATC2000) and it comes with a number of fitting options, including a handle-bar mount...
But rather that attaching to the handlebar I fitted it lower down onto the front left downframe from the seat... it fits perfectly!
By more or less mounting the camera between the wheels it also seems to be much less bumpy than mounting it directly above a wheel (eg on the handlebar). And of course lower seems faster ;D
It's also easy to switch on and off down there and can be rotated and aimed pretty easily...

Cool deal.
Yeah, if I ever get my video put up from the fall ride, there's a couple scenes where I'm driving holding the my Olympus down by my side (definately wouldn't have done that with my video camera).

I was there, he is "LOCO" as he was riding in the TN mountain one handed while recording with the other hand, the videos came up pretty good, i wish he post them someday Hey Kami i have a helmet cam but do not have a digital video cam, do you know which kind of video connector your camera has, so i can bring it to the next ride and you can install the camera whereever you want in the scooter, is wide angle lens so the video should come pretty good
