So we've somewhat expanded on the rally car Ruckus owner posse. Many in the Colorado Rally Crew have Ruckii so it only made sense to expand on the 24 inches of snow race and do a 24 minutes of snow race. The race took place yesterday at 4 pm at Checkpoint Racing/Salta Motorsports in Denver, CO. Open practice started at 3pm. A five minute practice run was followed by the 24 minute race. The scooters were lined up outside along the shop randomly. Then all drivers started inside the shop and when the start horn was blasted, all took off at a run, jumped on their scooters and went for it. A total seven Ruckii, and two non-Ruckii ran in the men's race. Four women were in the shorter, 5 minute women's race after the men. Ty of Suba Performance of Denver, CO took the win. Gina Hutchings of Salta Motorsports won the women's class. His scooter recently benefited from new lighter roller weights and spring from Battlescooter which helped him in the tight and tricky course. All other scooters were stock and ranged from being bought last week, to my 8000 mile 2005. The course was a mix of gravel, dirt, and asphalt and ran through the middle of the shop. Anyhow, here are some pictures. The next race is being planned for the first real big snow storm and will be held at a undisclosed golf course in the middle of the night. Here's some awesome pictures taken by my lovely wife and codriver Lauren Hughes. nocoastmotorsports.net/Ruckus/Oct07/group.jpg[/img]Ewww. 24 Minutes of this "edit profanity" is awesome. Need goggles next time instead of just sunglasses.

IHAR youwould smoke them all Nah. He'd probably be too afraid to get dirt on his Ruckus. Just kidding. I wanted to post on here to invite all, but for insurance purposes, since it was at their shop, they (Salta and Checkpoint) decided it was invite only. I'll make sure and post when the next one is. But, it's going to be a middle of the night during the first real big snowstorm. Hopefully it'll be a few feet. The winner was the only non-stock Ruckus so I'm sure a Ruck that is modified would have been up front. The rest of us own Ruckii, but spend too much money building and racing rally cars to really do much to our Ruckii. Here's some video. vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=19660559

Nice video too. Keep up the good work.
Chanito I think you should post the video yourself, cause we have been waiting for 1/2 a year for Kami to do the spring ride video and that still isn't done.

Technique, technique, technique.............. ......My 07 really isn't all that fast. My wife's 07 is a tick faster. The 06 White that I sold riveruckas is by far the fastest I've owned. Top speed and take-off it would eat em' all..............

I'd murder everyone on my Ruckus, but not with my SL26 tires, and there is no way in hell I'm racing my bike on dirt! I've got a rider in Denver that I'm sponsoring for the next race, we're finishing the bike this week, gonna be pretty darn fast we hope!

Speed, speed, and MORE SPEED........a race is never over until it ends, and even being behind doesn't mean there won't be a COMEBACK................ ;D
