well ruck, i got them in winnipeg. and they were cheap , with shipping and taxes came to about 100 cdn. deal. if you want I can hook you up with my tiredealer. also I would like to talk more about how your ruckus goes over 65km.
if anybody wants a pair just tell me i don't mind going through the trouble of getting the tires , just pay my gas for all the running around the city, lol. but I can see what I can do about the tires getting to any of you my dealer has about 28 pairs in stock.
my email is tyger_too@hotmail.com

Tyger, I sent you a personal message a few days ago on the 65km/hr thing but in case you didn't get it here's what I did:
First make sure you can go 60km/hr (37mph). A stocker should max out around 60 once warmed up. If you're below this I'd check:
- Valve Shims (a biggie) - Tire pressure - Oil level
Then, to increase speed I'd cut the opening on the airbox bigger. If you look you'll see there's a 'tube within a tube' opening so you won't see the cut from the outside. Open this hole as wide as you can . Now your air/fuel mix will be all messed up. You need to order the 6 pack of carb jets from battlescooter.com (12$?) and find the one that gives you the highest top speed (an 85 jet is a good start)(order the jets and then cut the hole bigger). Opening the airbox makes you run leaner in the lower rpms than the higher ones so you won't run great with just a main jet swap in the low-mid range. You'll need to shim the needle too (info on all of this is on battlescooter.com and all over this site). You'll probably need to add 1-2mm of shim. This raises the needle so more gas gets let through at lower rpms but the high end doesn't change. Now you're Ruckus should be running good again and maybe 1-2mph faster at the top end and noticably faster in the low-mid range.
Now you're ready for a CDI. This advances the ignition timing and raises the redline to 9000rpm (from 8000rpm) and will get you another 1-2mph. Now you've maxed you're Ruckus's power out with the exception of the major engine mods (cam, bored out, new carb, port/polish).
Now you want to mess with the variator. You could do this earlier but I suggest you wait cuz changes in your power and redline dictate how tall of a top gear ratio you can pull and how light roller weights you can run, respectively. I'd shorten the spacer in the variator to whatever length you find to be the ideal compromise between top speed gain and loss everywhere else (35mm is a good start). You can gain another 2mph or so this way but you're gearing you Ruckus taller across the board so you do lose some hill climbing power etc.
Now I would swap in some lighter roller weights. The roller weights control how long your engine takes to reach the final gear ratio. Centripital forces on the weights pull the Ruckus into a taller gear so lighter weight don't pull as hard and thus it takes longer (higher rpms) to reach this. This will gain you back some of the mid range you lost by shorting the variator spacer. If you weights are too light you will never reach the top gear ratio (thus slowing you down) and/or you'll briefly hit the redline when you accelerate (which is why you may want the CDI installed first cuz it raises the redline and you may peak above 8000rpm upon takeoff if your weights are quite light). If your weights are too heavy nothing bad happens but you just won't be as snappy as you could be. A good starting point is 3, stock weights (7.5g) and 3, 5g weights (placed opposite each other to keep things balanced). You need to replace the roller weights on a scooter every once in a while anyways cuz they get flat spots in them so you may as well go lighter while you're doing it.
Now you should be running in the low 40's (mph) or mid-high 60's (km/hr). I'm running 40-41mph without any variator mods. I had them done but now my variator is stock.... but it's a long story (see 1200$ repair bill thread in the problems section of this site). I believe Chanito was going 43mph with not much more than variator mods.
Now you're ready for some major engine mods....save your pennys and send 'er to Abe for as much of the following as you can afford: Cam, port/polish, new carb, bored out.
You might also want to consider a new exhaust. It'll make your Ruckus quite a bit louder and should increase airflow through your engine a bit resulting in slightly more power if you adjust the carb accordingly. Lastly, keep an eye on those valve shims...check em every few 1000km or anytime you feel your top speed dropping off.
P.S. I used to live in Winnipeg for 7 years on the south end (not like anyone cares).

dan, that was huge, thanks alot man, and coming from the north end that effort on your part for that whole lesson was a little bit of friendly manitoba. I think there are a total of 10-15 rucki here, trying to round them all up and make some sort of club, and I think there are one or two japanese fellows with the crazy mods. But as far as making the ruckus more quick i'm leaning on a whole engine change, my friend is a mechanic so I want to make a sleeper ruckus and an outdoor camping ruckus, i'll start with the camping ruckus first. but here I go with the questions again. 1- for 200 and under what mods shuold I do , i don't want to spend that much right now I'm still a student. 2- for 200 american what shuold i buy from japan? (my cousins leaving on thursday for a vacation and I was thinking of getting him to look for stuff) thanks again dan

Totally agree with dandydan, but the major impact on top speed was my homemade windscreen , the mods to the stock variator were helping me, but getting to 43 mph was not consistent, somedays i would get there and some i would not, then i got a piece of lexan 11 x 14 inches, bent it, fabricate some brackets and wow!! flying at 43 become easy, if i could get more power i probably could go faster, i have not gotten to 8k rpms yet with the modified variator, but i would like to put better brakes (discs) before getting any faster, i have been scared a couple of times, becouse you need to clamp those brakeslevers a lot harder to stop from 43 mph than from 39, so now i brake a lot earlier from 43 , and i will put a better rear shock before installing a better exhaust, like i wanted to do

bob, i wish but thing is I don't want to do this, then that , then this , I WANT IT ALL! lol, jus kidding. actually i want to wait till i get all the stuff i want , slap it all then bring my scoot out. her's my list
brake light bracket modify rear turn signals new cat's eye brake light modify front turn signals put on headlight grill guards(thanks ebay) fabricate brackets for my side ammo boxes(courtesy of the army surplus store) repaint ammo boxes to exact scooter color(army matte green) paint scooter army green paint motorbike handguards army green put on new knobby tires change rad hose to clear (thanks ruckass for the idea) make a bracket for my army flashlight, army canteen finish my carbon copy of the racing cage for the gas tank(courtesy of me and my welder friend)
then after all this I'll take a pic, lol so till then, still wishin (i have 80% of all the stuff, it's just doing it that is loggin me down, it's still -20 where I'm from and i don't have a heated garage)
