I wanted to know if anyone has bought tires (the offroady type, like the ones on the zoomers from japan) If yes do i need to do anything special to modify my ruckus in order to get them to fit? and also where and how much? I was leaning towards an ATV looking tire. thanks for everyone's help.

Someone Emailed saying that they got Duro tires version of that Dunlop you are talking about. We have been trying to get Duro to import those, they may do it now. Dunlop says they won't bring it here but you never know. Email them or call and ask for it ;D

Plus really slick tires like that would lower your rolling resistance so you'd go faster than on really knobby ones. you're my hero ;D I need to figure out the new top speed of the Battlescooter with the new wheels. I run around with no speedo so I have no idea.

well dunlop says no they aren't available in north america.
I contacted duro and 2 countries and 6 phone numbers later they are supposedly coming in two to three weeks the cross hf910 model's 120/90/10 for the front and 130/90/10 for the back. I'm thinking they are hard to get but if I get them in 2-3 weeks then if anybody wants em I can try to get some more. But if dan's right and they lower top speed that sucks I didn't really take that into consideration.

Is there anywhere I can go to see a pic of em? Got a link?
When you get em on be sure to let us know how they work. I'm really curious what they'll do to your top speed. My completely uneducated guess is a 1-2mph loss.
Also I think you should put them on now. I'm up in Ontario, Canada and I've been driving my Ruckus all winter. I just wear insulated coveralls, fleece, jacket, snowmobile mitts and big boots and of course my helmet. I tell myself it's no different than snowmobiling. My rear tire is almost bald and I'm still alive (I did slide out once while doing doughnuts in a parking lot and bent my turn signal bracket.) The major thing is not to use the front brake or you're going over. I'd love to hear how those tires do in the snow.

i'm picking them up this afternoon but tires only, i have no time any soon to put them on sides my scooters outside in storage, but I'm thinking of bringing it in the basement to work on it (want to take it apart to get it painted, put my new cat's eye break light, change the turn signals, etc.) , we'll see. hopefully I'll take pics today. dandy, man aren't you scared you'll get smashed by a car in the winter? and how's the ignition and engine in the winter? nothing freezes? I was thinking of taking it for a spin but it's cold as hell up here (i'm your neighbour to the left). so if anybody wants the tires you can email me i'll ask my dealer what he can do. tyger_too@hotmail.com

Things work pretty good in the winter. I need to run a 90 main jet instead of an 85. Once my ignition froze. I could put the key in but it wouldn't turn. I took the cover off and used a hair dryer for 3min. Also you get salt all over your Ruckus but if you wash it often its not too bad.
The actual grip is pretty good. Especially considering I have 13,500kms (9000 miles?) on my stock tires and the rear is pretty bald (The rear wears way faster than the front). I just keep my weight a bit forward cuz the rear end is kinda loose and never use the front brake. I'm never scared of going over unless it just snowed a lot and then it really pulls you around at high speeds. Sometimes I have to put a foot down to keep things right side up. If there isn't a ton of snow on the road then there's absolutely no worries...bundle up and go scootin. (It's just like snowmobiling)
On Easter weekend I'm going to drive 600km's each way from my co-op job in Ottawa to Kitchener/Waterloo. Should be a good time...better be warm those days. I"m planning on cruising at 65km/hr (41mph) so with fuel stops in hoping for 10 hrs.

Does anyone have a picture of the off road HF910 Duro tires for the Ruckus? I talked to a supplier here in Denver. He said he would be able to get me a set, but he can only order the tires in at least two sets at a time being that he has to order them direct from China. I would really like to see a picture of them before I decide to buy.

Wow those are sweet! Where did you get them from? Did you have to special order them through a domestic supplier? Wow, you need to get those tires on your Ruckus ASAP. I want to see how good they look before I buy a set. ;D
