Okay, so this was last week, I didn't have anything to do, the weather was nice, I went for a ride on Ryoko. I decided to go full on crazy, and hold the camera out with my left hand and film myself. I did a little work on the vid, and added some music, it's only about 20 seconds long. I don't like my watermark, need to work on that, first time I put one in a vid. Hope you guys like. It's a wmv file, about one and a quarter megabytes. GWalla.com/Ruckus/RuckRun2.wmv

You're one crazy mofo! I love how the camera spins around and then viewer gets to stare at your face for the rest of the vid...I just kept waiting for something to happen..like a bail.

Yeah, that would have been alright. I wish I had got it up sooner, so I could have got that car the car that passed me while I was fiddling with the camera, and scared the crap out of me. Long straights are good for that kinda squidwork.

My brother wants to make a new camera mount, since the one he made previously is just wood. I guess I should go out and do a test run with it. maybe I'll do that tomorrow afternoon if the weather is nice.

I made it too - for about $1 worth of parts. Haven't used it yet but it should should work great. www.knick-knack.com/howto/motorcycle/cheap-handlebar-camera-mount.html

Not bad, Blackruck, I'll pass that to him. The one he made attaches to the front luggage rack.

So, I took my Ruckus out today, with the camera mount on the front rack. I did around half my run with my cheap camera, and the other half with my Olympus. I didn't do either with my actual video camera, because of the time it takes to get the video on the computer. Anyhow, I got 15 minutes off my 256 card in the cheap camera. Had plenty of room left on the card, too. Unfortunately, 15 minutes is all that would fit on my 1 gig in the Olympus. You can definately tell the difference. Picture quality is much worse on that cheap thing than I remember. Guess I'll stick to using it as an mp3 player. Anyhow, I hate to film all that and just do nothing with it, so I ran it through some filters, most notably watercolors, sped it up 500 times as fast (so it's only 3 minutes instead of 15) and then put some music to it. I think it's kinda fun that way. gwalla.com/ruckus/testrun1.wmvAll the stops where it tilts in place (like in the church parking lots) was me checking to make sure it was still on. Tomorrow, I'll probably try to do something with the Olympus video. If there's time during the weekend, might try to get a new mount made and make a real short video with the actual video camera. We'll see. Definately prefer to use it when I go out to TN.

Haven't got any new info, I just put together the Olympus video the other day, made it about 3 times as fast, so it's 5 minutes. I thought the music synched with it well. gwalla.com/ruckus/ruckrun5.wmvHopefully have more info, tonight.

I've got an eclectic selection of music, so it's hard sometimes to pick.
