one step away from the GT. The GT is a huge scoot, you should try sittin' on that thing. This is a 2007 LX 150.

Me have confession to make.
I too lust after a Vespa - the PX 150.

Do the LX 150 and the LX 50 share the same chassis/body and the LX 150 just has a bigger engine squeezed in? I want to get my soon to be wife a Vespa in the spring and I'm still unsure between something vintage and something new but she'll probably want a new one. If the LX 150 is still small (small = good) then that's an option but I don't really want to get her a 150 because I don't want her to be faster than me. From the looks of your pic it's looks a bit bigger though.

Dang it! $1000 more for an extra 20mph is a no brainer...you even get the same milage. I don't know how I could pass that up but I don't want her to be faster that me...I guess I just need that stroker crank and NOS kit.

Yeah, they are the same size, just bigger motor. Let me just tell you this...the other day, I hit 70 mph!

Dang! 70mph is fast...is that with a tail wind downhill? On Vespa's site it's spec'd at 59mph. I really like 150cc scoots because they aren't as big and awkward as the 250cc and up scoots and they can go on basically any road.

Yes, that was with me in the tuck position and going down a small hill. If I am on a flat ground, no wind, in the tuck position...I can easily hit 65-68. I agree totally, my friend has the GT 200 and it is just massive. It almost starts taking away from the fact that you can park a scooter just about anywhere. I love this scooter, the windshield also made a huge difference. That should also be credited to why I went 70 mph. My friend with the GT has the same size shield as I have an also a really huge one. He can drive down the freeway with his cell phone ear piece in and talk to people because this shield blocks so much wind. I draw the line on huge windshields though, it looks rediculous.

I draw the line on huge windshields though, it looks rediculous. Yeah...huge windshields can be pretty funny looking. Every once in a while someone comes in here with a pic of thier new slip streamer or some other huge windshield they put on their tiny Ruckus and it looks hilarous...maybe a big shield would look okay or a big bike (ie. Goldwing) but it's seriously awkward looking on a small scoot.

funny you mention, last winter, i installed my silp streamer off my honda cb900 custom on my ruckus because it was awful cold scootin to class. it made it huge difference however, it lasted all of three days.
