This is mainly for the battlescooterstore people.
When I look at the pics of the showa Metropolitan shocks on you web site and compare them to the stock shock on my Metropolitan they are different.
The stock shock has brackets on both ends where the showas in the pic on your site have a bracket on one end and bolt hole on the other. (Sorry, I dont know the technical names of these parts!) How do you account for this? Do the shocks come with a converter to be mounted on the Metropolitan? I ordered a 260mm shock today and am worried that it will be more than a "bolt on" modification. If anyone could clear this up for me that would be great.
Again, sorry for posting this Metropolitan stuff here. It just seems that the Metro board is more interested in how cool their scooters look than giving real advice!

More than likely you will receivr the correct shock. I replaced my stock rear shock with the chrome one & mine fit perfectly. There is collar with rubber bushing & a metal sleeve on one end of the shock--that's the top. The bottom of the shock has a U shaped bracket that straddles an ear on the swingarm assembly. Careful not to cross-thread the bolts. Tighten the bolts to torque specs..that information is on another post on this site. You'll be happy with the improvement. I'm 5' 7" & about 215--I set the pre-load adjustment collar on the new shock at the middle selection. Just right for me. Scooter safe.

Right, but the Metropolitan has the bracket on both ends. I dont know if the collar just bolts on to the hole where the bracket went, or if the metropolitan showa has a bracket on both ends. I guess ill find out...
