Nice pic but why were you only going 50km/hr before? Something must have been wrong and if you fix that you should go a bit faster still. Have you checked your valve shims? You're supposed to do em at 15k but realistically way before then. If it hasn't been done I bet you'll find some extra power there.
All these photos taken at full speed have me itchin to take one at 50mph. I know a good hill that I can take one while I go down and I'll have the needle touching the top corner of the odometer.
We should have a contest to see who can take a pic with their needle the farthest around. Free Battlescooter stuff for the winner!

i should get a free decal for taking max speed pics well the clutch is completely fried..thats for one thing..dealers don't like to tell you this stuff when you buy used bikes #@$%...and the rollers were so bad, they stopped rolling apparently...

Are you sure the whole clutch was fried? There really isn't anything to get fried except the roller weights, which do get flat spots and need replacing every 5-10,000km and the belt should be replaced every 25,000 or so (guess). You could have just bought new (and lighter) weights for 10$ but the aftermarket variator is nice to have because it is more aggresive ramps so you'll get to your top speed a little quicker.

;D Now THAT's a max power kpm!! If your on flat ground with just the CDI and repaired drive your doin well! I figured your drive was messed from your max power post. Those stock rollers are prone to flat spots quickly but I'm curious what happened to the clutch. Congrats

yeah the rollers didn't roll anymore..just had a big flat spot but the higher top speed is great...normally it'd get up to 40km/h and then lose power..but now it just keeps climbing and climbing..before, going down hills, i'd hear the exhaust pop (because of the limiter...scooter was going faster then the revs allowed it to) but now it just goes and goes..i've yet to see just how fast going downhill it will go. i can finally pass cars on the road! anyone know of a good speedo i can put in there?

hey will did you check the speed with a gps? mine goes that far on the speedo with a cdi as the only mod, slight downhill and the speedo arrow is at the 40 if not a little more and at the light, BUT my gps says 60-1 km. if I have time i'll take pics. (plus I'm waiting on my jet's shock and gas cover from battlescooter so I'm out of commish for awhile.

Get yerself a tach and you'll see the CDI has let cross the 8K barrier. With my stock variator I saw 8750 but with the higher geared Daytona I've only seen 84ish so far on the flat.
