Well I thought I'd post some pics or my Ruck. I love looking at the pics people post I hope you like mine! I haven't done much yet too my Ruck but I'm still breaking her in. I did add the chrome rear shock for some bling and some better support for my larger than average weight but I am waiting for a bit to do any major mods. I did attach the milk crate for a bit of carrying space. I was inspired by Peter Mc Lennan of Cycle Canada mag. He did a great article about the Ruckus in the March 2005 edition. The crate is great I can hold a twofour of Keiths(beer) in there perfect and it makes the Ruck a great grocery getter too!(i don't think the soccer moms, at the grocery store parking lot, in the GMC Yukons know what to make of me! ) Any excuse to ride!!! ;D I painted the red milk crate old caterpiller yellow, not a perfect match for the yellow of the Ruckus but a near match. I'm slowly picking the right stickers for my Ruck. I thought the "wanna banana sticker" was to funny. I'm just a monkey on my banana! And BattleScooter were kind enouogh to include that cool sticker in my last order! Thanks Abe! ;D Sorry, my tires are a bit dirty but it is really muddy were I live. It's spring in Southern Ontario and that meens mud! Lots of fun to bomb through though! For those of you who are wondering how I attached my milk crate it was very simple. I wrapped the back bar of the seat frame with a couple pieces of rubber tire patch so the milk crate doesn't rub off the paint and I nyla-tied it to the frame. I had to drill a few holes in the milk crate to make it fit just nice. I also put a thin rubber trim guard on the top of the black plastic break light guard then I nyla-tied the creat down to the brake light so it couldn't move and damage the taillight. It's very sturdy and if I have to remove it to do some work in the bike I just need to cut off the nyla-ties! I also put a slow moving triangle on the back of my Ruck. I avoid, but I sometimes have to go on, roads with 80km/h limits. I always drive with extra caution on these roads. I always yeild to the faster traffic and try to make it easier for them to pass me. But this bit of added visablility should be an extra bit of safety esspecially at night. This image is with a flash. It doesn't really do the refective nature of the triangle justice but it is made of the super high refective tape and will be just as bright as the headlights beamed on it! Well I hope you've enjoyed the show, and I was wondering where are your

Sorry, this is off topic, but one of my friends was talkin' about trying to buy beer in Canada, once... and he told the guy he wanted a case of something... and the guy was like, how many do you want. And he replied a case. And the guy was like, how many beers do you want. And he replied a case. And the guy was like, HOW MANY BEERS? And the guy said 24! And he said, oh, you mean a Twofour.
So, now I tell all my friends that if you want a case of beer in Cananda, ask for a twofour. Just thought of that. ;D
Oh, yeah, lovin' the stickers, 'specially the Yellow Thunder one.

The stickers are very cool. The milkcrate look isn't very sexy but if you need to carry high volumes then it is a great way to do it. It does match nicely. Ted, you and your mini look great. ;D I love yellow too and yellow Rucki but I didn't have that option.

Nice collection tedsmini! I've got a Cooper too! Kami the beer slang thing is funny, my buddy in Alberta says out there you either get a 12 or a case of beer(24). Where as in Ontario you get a 12 or a twofour. It's different all over the place. Recently smart started selling their smart car here in Canada and they have renamed it the smart fortwo because it has only two seats. I keep thinking I have to get one so I can get my twofour in my fortwo! Thanks for the complements on the stickers Lisa! I had to shop around to find a 2004 in yellow, it took some time but I found one and I love it. Honda red would have been nice too but there are just no 2003's that I could find for sale.

Wainair, I just started see the little smart cars coming across the border. Find a way to sneak one over to me as we will probably not get them any time soon The european model got 60mpg: as soon as they put calif emissions the mpg dropped to 37 That's really conserving our energy resources. By the way Mercedes is losing $5000 on every smart car sold.

We're only getting the Diesel model up here which gets about 80mpg(imp)! I waant one so bad but I have to save my pennies first. I heard the fortwo won't come to the States but you will get the forfour next year. Which as far as I can tell is just a smart car. But what I'd really like is the smart roadser! but it will never come to North America which is really to bad . Heres a great picture the coupe in the yellow!

I went to an auto show down in Charlotte, a couple of months ago, and they had the Dodge Slingshot concept there, which is just a rebadged Smart Roadster. It was tiny and sweet... but man, there wasn't anybody looking at it... (of course everyone was crowded around the Maybach in the corner... guess bigger still rules here, I hates it)

Yeah, the majority up here are brainwashed into the idea that bigger is better Granted that Maybach is some impressive bit of kit. There is a small part if the population that is not taken in by the hype though and we are slowly turning the world around to our way of thinking!!!(insert evil laugh ) Its all about quality not quantity!! ;D (mind you that Maybach has both)

Heres a great picture the coupe in the yellow! ;DI drove the Diesel model in Germany, where my former company built the Turbo for it. Noisy until it warms up, but it goes great for an 800cc twin cylinder. 65 mph no problem! I'd buy one if they were available in the states. The person in the photo is a German Quality Engineer.

My wife and I go to Europe every two years to see my Family. in 2002 we got a Mercedes Benz A170 for our rental. Awesome little car. The car was so cool that when we went back in 2004 I specifically reserved the same model, but when we got to the rental counter they didn't have it. After about 15 minutes of arguing back and forth in French they finally relented and upgraded me to this It's got a diesel and a turbo just like the smart, only a little bigger...

I used to have a Suzuki Swift, what a little fun car that was, i really abused it. my son learnt to drive in it, it was a five speed (real cars have three pedals, and at least 5 speeds) and he chewed the clutch

Where in Southern Ontario are you at wainair? I'm in Kitchener/Waterloo. I've only seen another Ruckus twice and both times I was in a car.

jimthejet thats the exact colour combo I want too! I was in Munich a couple of summers ago and I fell in love with the smart. I still have to test drive one but I'm pretty convinced I'd like it. I commute in a 3cylinder Geo Metro(which is basicly a Suzuki Swift but with a smaller engine...oh chanito how I envy the 1.6l 4 cylinder )right now. It's normally asperated and only 1L(54bhp/52fpt) and it goes great for what I'm using it for. The smart is around 50hp I beleive and about 80ft/lbs of torque(thanks to those turbos you mentioned) so the way I see it is that the 800cc smart should be peppier than what I'm driving now! :)I guess If I want to go quick I drive the MINI, it's so much fun, but I think I'm going to sell it this year to cut down on the debt load. It will be hard to do though because it is such a great car and so much fun to drive. SpoonKiller I'd say the 7 is an okay upgrade if you couldn't get the anything else... ... sheesh I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven LOL The last time I got an upgrade at a car rental I got upgraded from a cavalier to a caravan because they didn't have any cavaliers... Just what a single guy wants to drive around in on vacation... an mini van. DandyDan I'm in Erin. It's on the east side of Guelph about the same distance as Waterloo is from Guelph, towards Orangeville. I've never seen another Ruckus on the road but the guys at TwoWheel in Guelph where I bought my ruck says there are quite a few in Guelph(they sold them!)

:PI spent a week in Guelph one day! I was there visiting a foundry. Seems like I recall the people at the airport telling me that it was where the P-38 Mustang fliers were trained during WWII. Best private / small plane pilot I ever rode with was the one taking us there. Flew in a snowstorm and missed the runway (coming in over water?) on the first pass when we dropped out of the clouds / snow, but nailed it on the second try.
