I thought you guys might finally want to see my bike. Mods done so far: -Daytona CDI box -shock -tach -pegs -single chrome mirror -turn signals moved to Japanese position -horn flipped upside down (where it should have been in the first place) -Fenders removed. It looks so much better without them! ;D So what do you guys/gals think?

Yeah, looking sweet! I have the same K&N filter and most other mods you have. I still need a tach. I like the no front fender look too.

What jets did you have to use after you put the filter on? Do you have pics of it installed you could post in this thread? There are like 10 little hoses connected to the airbox, what are they for? vaccum lines? Where did you connect those at after you put the K&N on?

What happened to your exhaust shield or is it just hard to see in the 3rd pic? Anyways, you should grind the fender bracket off of the exhaust unless you plan on putting the fenders back on sometimes. If you trim the fenders you might not need the brace anyways. Other than that it looks sweet. I like how you got rid of the reflector below the licence plate. I hacked mine off too. Good choice on the shock colour! It's the same as mine.Umm touch up that paint where you grinded off the american turnsignals mounts...other wise that'll rust up pretty good. I dropped my ruckus and bent the mount once. It cracked half of the paint off. I didn't do anything about it cuz I knew they were coming off anyways (they are now gone) but for the time being it really rusted up. Let us know how the new airfilter thinger works out...I'd like one but I don't wanna mess my carb up again...it's such a hassle to get right.

The exhaust shield isn't on because a friend bumped my scooter with his car when it was in the driveway accidently. The shield just shattered because it was about 25 degree fahrenheit outside. I plan on using the dremel to get that darn fender bracket off sometime soon.

Also, do you guys like where I mounted the tach? I love the position. The bracket fit right on the handlebar bolt after I drilled the hole out a little bigger. Its a nice, tight, sturdy fit! It moves with the handlebars and doesn't get in my way with my feet on the floorboard. Even if it did I wouldn't mind because I only ride with the pegs. I like where it is right now much better than right next to the speedometer. It just looks cooler in my opinion. I think a tach makes the Ruckus that much more badass. ;D

That top hose that goes into the airbox, does that rub your tire? I'm guessing the shock prevents that but I believe with the stock shock and with a load on the seat, that hose will rub the tire and wear. Trust me...

I have never run it downhill because I truly don't know where a single hill is in this county. Kansas is flat! I got the tach at autozone for 11 bucks because it was an open box item, normally 30 bucks. It was easy to install, the white goes to a positive 12v, the red goes to a positive 12v, and the black goes to a ground. Finally, the green goes to the rpm signal source, its a blue wire I believe with a little connector on it under the front panel. One wire on your CDI also hooks up there. ;D

;D ;D Very nice, a couple of questions why do you have a pointer at 4500 and if you go above 8k with your CDI what happens to the tach 8k limit, when i put my intake i had to install a 90 jet and take off is a lot better i still have a little bog at 6500 so i plan to install a shorter diagphram spring Again congrats ;D ;D

I just never moved it. Once it gets to 8k, it goes a little bit past it, then just stops until I let off the gas of course. I installed my custom K&N airfilter/intake. I slowly drilled the hole on the filter larger until it stopped bogging at all and is getting the same airflow as before. I haven't rejetted yet of course, but I have lost no acceleration, it sounds cooler, and I did my first 44mph run today on a long, completely flat road with a 5mph tailwind. ;D I am amazed its running better than before without having to even be rejetted. 45mph here I come! I can't wait until I do some drive mods and actually rejet the carb. Right after installing filter: Outside after just installing it. All closed up: Finished and air filter grease added. This picture was taken about 5 minutes after my first ever 44mph run. ;D

Thats funny, I thought for a moment I was looking at my bike. I have the same filter, no rear fender and I put my K&N sticker exactly where you did.

Looks Classy! Is that the filter from the Battlescooter store or did you just order it from your local auto parts store? If it's not the BSS one do you know what the part # is and how much? How long did the install take? Did you definately notice an increase in speed or do you think the tailwind was mostly the cause? Thanks!
P.S. I noticed you really must like to twist that throttle hard cuz your grip is really twisted! Easy there cowboy!
