Well, it was such a pretty day today, I decided on a path to get me to the Blue Ridge Parkway without much dealing with the four-lanes of hell that is highways 421 and 321... but I had a really steep hill to climb, and my car can't go fast goin' up it, and I had I lot of folk following me, so instead I cut down some other backroad... well, before long, I saw a road on the left and a sign that said Parkway. Score! I slammed on my breaks, and whipped Ryoko onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. G-Walla.com/Ruckus/ParkwayI took 17 pictures, and I threw them into one of Photoshops album templates... I would have taken more, probably, but after drivin' a bit, my gas light came on. Yeah, Just what I need. But, I did find out my gas can, I think it's a two gallon, fits under my seat comfortably... so I could go for quite a ride if I was feelin' really randy. Oh, and on my way back, this car was following me, even in passing zones, and when I finally pulled off, they pulled off, too. It was a woman wanting to know about my scooter, she's been thinking about getting one. She asked about my helmet, too... and then at the gas pump, back in town, a guy came to ask about my engine, said he had a lot of Honda mini-50s. Ha, what a day.

>:(Masquerading as a moped rider!!! Kami, where is your license plate? You know NC limits mopeds to 20 mph. Are you ashamed of your Ruckus being a scooter? This site is "dedicated to the Honda Ruckus / Zoomer scooter", not moped! I'm proud of my Ruckus. In fact, I take offense if someone calls it a moped. I wear a tee-shirt that says so, "It's not a damn moped!". Got it from the NH Scooter Club, whose motto is "Scoot Free or Die!".

Ha, ha! Someone's onto me, and my diabolical plot! I'm screwin' the gov. out of the green! Look, I know the laws, and you know the laws... but the Honda dealer said I didn't need a license, so if I ever get pulled, I'll surely tell the cop that I was missinformed by my dealer... that's my plan at least. I usually try to drop speed if I see a cop, anyhow... Besides, all the inclines on the parkway, I couldn't go over 25, anyhow.

Mostly, it's 45 mph out there... so I'm not too far under the speed limit... except goin' up one of the countless hills...

We can't ride on the parkway/interstate/highway here in Connecticut. Just regular town/city roads. I guess it's a good thing because I live in the worst stretch of I95 on the whole east coast. There are so many accidents and deaths on the highway here. It's amazing people still drive on it. I avoid it at all costs with my car and I drive a tank (Xterra).

The Palisades Pkwy or the Merritt Pkwy are plane old freeways...Blue Ridge Pkwy is a drive through the park. Minimal [2 lane] road in the middle of maximum scenery.

Yeah, it's nice. The only problem is most of the shoulders are kinda steep... it'd be alright to park a car on 'em, but no way to park a scoot on them without it just tipping over. Miss a lot of good spots on account of that... oh, well.
