My Zoomer/ruck is only a month old and only been driven 50 km so far. I bought these weights over at a honda MC dealer yesterday for less then 10$. They are 16x13mm 6grams. However I think that the hole looks bigger then the ones that BSS sell? You guys think they will work? Do I have to change the clutch retainer clip as suggested in the battlescooter drive modification guide or can I use the stock one? Is it suggested in the guide because its a part that gets worn out eventually or is it because you have to stretch it when you make the drive mod and change the weights?

Those rollers are the proper dimension and should be fine. They look like their teflon which wears better than the stock nylon jobs. As for the clip, you don't need to remove the clutch and therefore won't need it. Just zing the nut off the variator, remove the washer and outside part of the variator. At this point you can slide the belt off the shaft. Slide your index finger behind the back halfwhile holding the ramp down w/your thumb and slide the whole thing off the shaft. If you don't hold the back and the ramp together the rollers will fall out. (no biggy) You should study the directons on BS tech & search the posts here. You need to be careful when reassembling cause if you screw up the shaft or don't get the nut tight, you'll have potential for a costly problem. The 6s will allow you engine to rev higher faster and many say it's THE BEST initial mod. Good LUCK!!

Those are perfect! The hole size doesn't matter, only the outer dimensions and weight.

I can report that the change worked fine, I recieved a clearly faster acceleration by changing to 6x6gr rollers. Unfortunetly the european zoomer is restricted to 45 km/h(28miles/h) somehow(by electronics only)? But with lighter rollers u sure get to those 45 km/h alot faster. Below is a tip for all you zoomer/ruckus owners that dont have a good tool to use during this drive mod. In desperation I used a golfclub grip and it worked great. Cut the grip up and roll it together and jam it in over the drive belt to be able to remove the nut that keeps the belt and variator in place. Place the rolled up grip on top when u remove the unit and under it when u put it back together. The most difficult thing to do during this mod was to get the belt back on after sliding it of the shaft and even that was pretty easy.

Good stuff. Perhaps a CDI from the battlescooterstore.com would eliminate that limiter and you'd get to about 37mph. I'm not sure it will work but I believe it works on the metropolitan II which is basically a restricted Ruckus with a different body. You should really look into it.
I don't like ramming stuff in the variator because it could bend something but it does work. The best is to make a tool but if you don't have one I suggest sliding a variator cover bolt between the fins like the hand of a clock so that it sticks out a bit and runs into the case and thus stops things. You can really torque it tight this way. Make absolutely sure you get things tight.

I agree with you Dandy Dan, making a tool would bee the most professional way to go, however I had just gotten the new rollers and had an extreme urge to get them installed and try them out. The modest force I needed to use to get the nut of when the golfclub grip was jammed in there makes me doubt that I could possibly have used enough force to bend the camshaft. After all its manpower against almost two centimeters of massive steel? Luckly I have acess to more tools such as impact guns/wrenches at a local harley club so I will go there asap to make sure that I got it tight enough ;D
About the cdi from BSS, they dont seem to ship their stuff to europe?

It seems like there is some variation in how tight that nut comes on from the factory. In my case I could not get it off by jamming anything in there and I really tried hard. I eventually made a crude tool to get it off. Regardless, there is no way you'll bend the camshaft, that would really be impressive but if it's really on there tight I think you could tweak the crankshaft a bit causing a bit of vibration. When you ram something in there you're puttin all the force on one side so you might tweak it it's really on there tight. From the sounds of it yours wasn't very tight. I would suggest only using an impact gun to loosen it. If you tighten it with an impact gun you'll get it tight for sure but it's tough to control how tight you get it.
Lastly, the BSS does ship to europe. You just need to email them with what you want for a shipping quote. Removing that restrictor would be worth way more than the CDI costs.

Damn I crack myself up some times, my english is sometimes a little thaistyle same-same Camshaft-Crankshaft Im considering that cdi from BSS, sure they ship to Sweden? Would probably cost around 180$ just to get it over here. Are there any european BSS customers in here that know what the total cost would be or if there is a european company that sells those cdi boxes?

;D Congratulations, i am not a great fan of jamming the variator to loosen it or tighten it because it can damage the bearings, on another note, the italian company Polini makes a nice CDI and exhaust to derestrict the zoomer, let us know how it works ;D ;D
