I'd sell my soul for a Yoshimura carbon fiber one. They are SO sexy. I've only seen them on Jap sites though. Other than ebay the BSS might be your only option. Abe has said that he has way more stuff than he's had a chance to post so perhaps you could email him and ask him if he has any others.

Does anyone know how the different exhasts on the BSS are tuned?

Dan, I found out that the yoshimura exhuast you are looking for is called the "cyclone" in Japan. They do have a North American distributor... www.yoshimura-rd.comAlso here are the part numbers you are looking for...I'm not sure what the difference is between them..it might be the metal used. 110-407-5281 (ST) 110-407-5291 (SC)

I can't find them on that site. Do you have a more specific link? I tried browing and searching but no dice. How did you get those part #'s?

Dan,
The specific one you are looking for is not on that site. But they are the distributors for yoshimura. I called them and they said they were not stocking the cyclone any more. The guy I spoke with was not helpful at all but maybe you would have better luck.

I just got done replacing my stock pipe. After 2 months of daily riding with a Morwaki from BS, I have come to believe (what I read here) the stocker is tough to beat for performance. In my estimate the only gain from an aftermarket pipe is less weight, a different look, and more noise. It sounds faster but when the engine tops out, the superbly pulse tuned stock pipe gives you a little more. I supposed a tunable pipe pipe might be dialed in to outperform Honda's match for this super tech engine. But I already spend too much time screwing with the Ruckus. I be posting my slightly used Morwaki for about $200 plus shipping tomorrow after )($#^#$&%^( Photo Bucket lets me back in. I've been given a "timeout", I had the Cap lock and tried to log on too many times for their liking. Been a frustrating day. A least I can cruise the streets in the wee hours of the night without having to wake up the neighbors. ;D It's not loud but not stealthy like the stocker.

:)Yeah, now that i created Chanito motorsport my next project will be an exhaust to match my intake, this project scares me as the factory one is a good set up, so improving it won't be easy You did not believe us ? LOL

I'm hoping to start Double D Motorsport some day. I'm intially going to sell a stock fork enhancement kit including stiffer springs, better rubber stoppers and adjustable preload spacers.
Maybe one day I'll sell a cheap wheelbase extension kit too.

Hey Chanito: Do you think a once I get my ruckus bored out to approx 60cc (20% increase) I should switch my exhaust pipe to a 1" from a 7/8" pipe to match the increased flow (area of 1" pipe vs. 7/8 is about 25% bigger)? I'd love to play with exhausts but it seems like an expensive experience for likely no gain. If I knew the Yosh pipe was gonna do ANY good I'd get one cuz they're so sexy but to shell out about 400$ for eye candy is tough.

As incredible as it sounds, 7/8 is still big for a 50cc but switching to a 1 inch would be good if we can keep the speed up, normally switching to a bigger diameter slows the exhaust flow, making those exhaust pulses a big concern, that is way those glasspack straight mufflers do not work, probably a step exhaust pipe would work (7/8 at the port and 1 inch before the muffler) but it would be expensive and tricky to make

I never knew that exhausts were such an art until I started reading this board. I guess with the smaller engines it is much more critical but still it just goes to show how much there really is to concider when doing upgrades to any engine. Or at least doing upgrades that actually are upgrades and not just cosmetics!
