I've just come across an aftermarket carb site that sells carbs for Honda 4-stroke motors. Not sure if they work on the Ruckus but they are Constant Velocity (CV) and do work on Honda Elite CH125, 150 and 250 scooters. A variation is also used on the smaller Elite CH80.The site is www3.telus.net/dougsimpson/CVcarb.htmlI plan on upgrading my carb soon so i will study up on this stuff and get back to ya. Ruckass

yeah its from myscoot.com. I got a reply back regarding aftermarket carbs,
"I do not offer any CV style carbs at all. We have not set up a carb kit for a Ruckus. If you would like one of our mechanical slides you would have to get some external dimensions of the stock carbs (spigot OD, airbox side OD, and length in between). Regards Chad"
I haven't sent the specs yet. Ruckass

I think you are talking to Sudco? Yes? CV carbs are pretty expensive and people like the snappy feel of slide carbs.

My bad, yeah it was Sudco.
So can we swap the OEM CV carb for a slide without any problems?

I doubt the motor cares where the fuel is coming from just as long as your CDI box keeps lying to the ruckus that everything is just fine. ;D

Yep you can pour gas in the motor if you want but it would be hard to ride A slide carb is fine. They get worse gas mileage but you will get that faster feel.

Ruckass Does anyone have a metric caliper who could measure the Ruckus carb dimensions as listed above? If so, Sudco is interested in building a larger carb for it. Anyone.....?

Hey, they won't build a carb. You can just buy one from stock. The airbox side is not important. the distance between can't be helped and the spigot OD is the same. Just buy a 20mm and stick it on
