I might think about a sportier sound, but do not want to mess with the reliability of the motor. Ideas - lessons to teach??!

You won't hurt the motor with an exhaust. It is a little loud with one though.

I've put on a new ehaust pipe and muffler and it does sound more like the honda I remember growing up with, (XL70) it seems to have lost a tiny bit of power. The pipe is a little larger in diameter that may have something to do with it. What should be done to correct it? go back to a bigger main jet? or go back to a smaller pipe with this muffler?
Ruckass p.s. I'll post some pics of it soon.

I've been riding for a few days now with my new pipe/muffler and have noticed its slightly slower off the line and a little less power up the hills but the downhill is the fastest yet. I'm guessing the wider diameter pipe creates less backpressure and allows more flow when hitting the high speeds. So it seems a trade off. pics soon!
