Faster how, top speed, accel? How big a difference is there? Is there a size difference between your brother and you? Did he purchase the ruckus from a dealer or private party? Is the tire pressure the same on both rucks? Many variables can make two seemingly equal rucks run at different speeds.

he got his from a private party(unmodified), yes, i am a little bigger than him, we even traded bikes, and it was still faster, im going to put my stock pipe to see if it will change, hes faster in top speed by a little, i think thats the weight, but accel, he will blow me away

Don't forget to make sure your oil isn't overfilled... but I would think it's the pipe, though don't trust the mechanically declined.

Sounds like it could be the oil from what I have read on here. I have the same top speed of 37-38 mph as the other stockers and I am about 255 pounds.

i changed the oil, and put on the stock pipe, and its better, but he still takes off on me, not by much anymore, can it be the weights?

Lighter Roller Weights would explain it. If you've got a good ear you'll here the engine rev higher right away but opening up the variators and checking the weights would tell for sure. For less than $100 you could mount a Tiny tach on both scooters. A tach tells you alot about whats going on and should be an early addition to doing mods.

Roll resistance is a big deal with the ruckus. Making sure your tire pressure is right will make a difference too. I checked my tires the other day, and from the dealer, they were set low by 4psi, I topped them up to what it says in the owners manual and immidiately noticed an increase in performance.
