My BAD!
I overtightened the Hex nut that holds the drive face pulley on. Baaaaad. I stripped the threads on the drive face and it took quite awhile to get the drive face off. Thought I was home free with a $20 drive face replacement, but no. The variator came out but now I can't get the drive plate out. It spins around freely back there but wont slide down the shaft. Me thinks the shaft might be bent. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

The plate is tight. Just slowly wiggle it out. I doubt you bent the shaft. Use some primate (long thing objects) tools to help you wiggle if your having problems using your hand. It should come out no problem, just need a little patience.
