Most people get the one from ChanitoMotor.com It's great and adds a little speed. Do a search and you'll see tons of threads with pics on it.

other than his shields, just wondering,if any1 has tried others,, im sure chanito makes a great shield, i just want to see others, i like mine just a little taller and wider . Since you asked... I also wanted something a little taller than Chanitos windshield. Just a preference, nothing at all against Chanito or his products. I bought a Slipstream "Spitfire" Windshield from Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse for $70. They have a wide variety of sizes and shapes. The one I bought attaches directly to the handlebars. This type bracket is a bit of a pain to get adjusted but once you do it is fine. The Windshield itself can easily be removed leaving the main bracket in place whenever you want to ride without it Here is the "MAW" web page... www.shopmawonline.com/productdetail.htm?productId=3869188&searchProducts=spitfire

Hum... that is the windshield I bought from them. My handlebars are 2006 OEM. I think they were the 1" as the only other option I see is for the 1 1/4" brackets. I hope I am not steering you wrong. You might try contacting them to confirm if the 1" bracket will fit a 7/8" handlebar. I think they do as I am pretty sure that must be what I have...

Yes... i bought the tinted version. it looked better with my white ruckus. The only thing i don't like about the windshield is getting those brackets set where you are happy with them and the windshield is even and level can be a real pain. Your vocabulary of 4 letter words will get a good work out. It could also use additional support at the bottom. it is designed to sit on the headlight. Its not really made for a Ruckus. If you do get one, I'd like to see pics after you get it installed.

Thats the same one just a difference in the background of the photos. Very good price on it. I really hope you like it once you get it installed. I'd feel bad if I gave you poor advice. i saw the pics of your scooter. Very nice mods. I really like the backrest (modified headrest). is it secure enough to lean on?

did your mph decline or did it stay the same, Didn't see this question earlier. Can't really say if the MPH improved. Around the same time I got the windshield I also put in a Polini variator. I tried various sets of rollers before settling on 3 gray / 3 yellow. My goal was a little more power at the loss of top end. I'm over 200 LBs and occasionally haul my son or wife around with me. (Yeah I know it isn't designed for two but my Ruckus is for trips around the neighborhood or to the park not for serious commuting on busy roads : . The windshield was more to keep some of the bugs from hitting me... And cause it looks cool. lol My top end is around 34-35 (@ around 7750 RPM). If I get on a long open road I can still hit 40-45 (with a tail wind and a little downhill grade. )

I have the Spitfire windshield also, Love it. I went to my Honda dealer and ordered a 3/4" clamp set for mine.
