I am looking forward to buying some parts from the battlescooter store!
but... I don't have much cash and am not sure what to get at the moment.
hmm, I like the purple gauze style filter...
...and I would have to rejet. The problem is.... I have never rejetted anything in my life. Hell, I don't even know were they are in the Ruckus carb. Is it really that difficult? I've worked with alot of tecumseh and briggs engines.
Secondly, I want a cdi box. How difficult is this to install? If the instructions are fairly decent I should be able to do it easily because hell I build computer systems and wiring that in shouldn't be too hard.... as long as I know how to do it...
Thirdly I want an extended wheelbase kit! It looks awesome! But jeeze $230!?!?! for the bracket and it doesn't even come with a shock!!! I just can't afford that right now.
Well what do you think? I'll order the airfilter/jets/cdi. Then, later, I will order a new variator with some weights. What weight do you reccomend with this setup?
and.... What speed increase would you think I would see with this? ;D

I'll be working on layman jetting directions. You can be my test subject. I'm always available by Email and I can explain how to do anything if you can communicate what you want and your skill level.
I knew the prices would be a problem but I have no choice. That is what the stuff costs. The extension kit doesn't come with a longer rear brake cable so the price reflects the kit price and then the cable. The cable costs me $40.
I will be making extension kits soon but like everything it takes time.
My hope is people will understand. I warned people over the past year Japanese parts were not cheap. The Japanese have great products and until the sales volume is higher the prices will have to stay.

I am very good with 2-stroke carbs but have never worked on one like the ruckus has. Is the jet in the bowl on the bottom?
Prices are no problem. I know that they are expensive.

The carbs are the same basically. Modern 4 strokers usually have a CV type carb, as does the Ruckus. The jets are in the same place. The difference being on a CV carb the slide is controlled by differences in air pressure between the outside and inside air. I'll be adding a more detailed description to the jetting section in tech on battlescooter. Don't say prices don't matter! I have them so low I'll be lucky if I make money. I'm counting on volume like McDonalds

What did it say? I didn't do it. Maybe scribble88 moved it he made a comment about something that I said in my post that was innopropriate he determined. I edited my post and removed his to try to keep this thread on topic. It's called moderation ;D
