Great way to dress up your machine.
Easy install, remove two bolts, screw in the new attack bar bolts and away you go!

It looks like a comfy riding postion...it doesn't really jive with the look I'm going for but if you like the look and want to try the riding postion then go for it. Since you already prop your feet on the front edge of the floorpan this might suit you well. I'm not sure if you can leave the stock floorboard on or not.

It looks like you can leave the floorboard......see the site for pics.
I'm wondering the addition of the racing brace as well.....two is always better than one.

pghdave, did you buy it? I like that riding position too, but $140 seem kinda steep for a metal bar.... I've got a bone-stock 07, I'm a scooter newbie too. Has anybody out there made anything similar? Joe T.

$140 isn't steep.....try $450 for a sway/brace combo for the civic. It seems money at first, but if you have any experience modding cars you'll see the huge savings when comparing scooter mods to car mods.

Yeah but 140 dollars into a 2000 dollar machine is relatively more than 450 is to a 20000 dollar machine.

Kami, that's how I think..... cost of mod against cost of vehicle. High ratio for alot of scooter mods...

Yeah if you wanna get into serious mods you have to get over that....the way I think of it is that compared to a bigger bike. I'm saving atleast $1000/yr in insurance premiums so I put that savings into my Ruckus mods and then I still have all the fuel and maintenace cost savings left which I use to rationalize why I'm driving a scooter.

I bought the attack bars and think that they are G-R-E-A-T ! I have the chrome lowered seat frame and the chrome shock so the bars fit right in. I use the top of the bars as foot rests, after I added some grip tape to the top of the bars to protect the bars as well as keeping my feet in place. The bar does not touch the frame of the bike. It's only two contact points are the mounting holes at the base of the tubing. There is actually about a 1/2 inch gap between the frame and the bar and when you rest your feet on the bar, the bar works as kind of a shock absorber for you feet>no vibration. I mounted the bars to the standard black plastic deck and think it looks good. I suppose you could strip the floor board and replace it with a brace and pan, you might need longer screws bcs everything attaches through the same 4-6 holes. You might be stacking up attachments. I like them, they are well made, better looking and more functional than foot pegs...I give them 2 thumbs up

I agree with Mlaubner and tuesday ;D And i have a hard time accepting the cost of some of our performance parts, 370 for a exhaust, and i do not care if Mr Yoshi himself did the welding is WAY TOO MUCH
