Yes expensive for some people, cheep for others. If your home made part fails and your rear end falls off sending your ruckus to the junk pile and you to the hospital then buying the part would have been much cheaper. I drilled and tapped a few holes in a couple of cheap Romanian rifles recently. The work went slick as butter confirming my suspitions that I had been charged to much and wasted my money taking my American guns to the gunsmith all these years. Just after that I bought a realy nice antique Stevens That I wanted tapped holes in. Can you guess if the rifle went to a professional or thumble thumbs me with a drill press!

I did not get Jr rifle analogy, but the extension is way more than a couple of pipes, you have to enlarge the whole transmition case and install a longer belt or relocate the engine and trans assambly, and that involve some thinking in order to do it right, i agree some stuff is fairly easy and cheap to do, but you have to pay for the time people spend figuring out how to do it

i just put my new wheelbase extention kit on today. for the money it is way worth it, and it really does kick "edit profanity". the ride is smoother and it installs pretty easy...but there is one slight porblem. if you still intend on using your center stand, when it is on the stand any amount of weight on the bike causes the front of the engine to raise too high and "jam" up against the frame cross member. most who have a frame extention have a kick stand so it is not an issue. i wish i could just throw on a kick stand, but my pegs are way too big. i'll try and post a pic of my ruckus tomorrow.
