You are better off on a used Honda than a new Chinese brand.

Those scooters are basically your standard cheapo Chinese motor (which is basically a poor imitation of a 20 year old japanese engine) in a Ruckus-look-a-like frame. Like bigchief said, if you can't afford a Ruckus just buy one used rather than one of these.

heh, i was afraid of all that. It isnt for me tho, im the cat w/ the A-team Ruckus! ahhh yeah. i've been scoutin c-list for cheep scooters for my friends so i can start a scooter cult in p-town. thing that sucks is my friends don't want to spend more than $500 so am i guessing correctly in thinking that they arent going to get anything of quality for that much?

i agree with every one else.you'd be better off buying an old honda than a new chinese brand. the chinese brand is cheaper but the quality is also cheaper, and once you hit a big size pot hole like i have near my house mthe wheel would probaly fall off.My 03 ruckus has been through hell and back and it just keeps chugin right along. stick with jap name brands/Honda,yamaha,suzuki,kawasaki.

You can maybe find a Tomos moped for that much. I'm not sure how reliable they are, since I've never seen my Tomos in running condition (though I have it on good authority that the previous owner did ride it to my house, once. It's just that I didn't see him ride up, and when I walked outside with him when he went to leave, the thing wouldn't start, so we loaded it on the trailer and gave him a ride home.) Ah, Tomos, if I had money, I'd buy a new reed valve and see if that would solve your problems... Yes, I'm that cheap.

Mine must be fast, it's got a Biturbo exhaust. Heh.
Yeah, I wish mine was the kind with pegs and a kick starter, but oh, well. I guess the pedals could come in handy.
I'll probably get back out and mess with it more when it gets warmer, and I get bored. I think it's just a cracked reed valve, so hopefully I don't need to do much to get it running.
