I rode a Ruckus for the first time tonight and it was fantastic. My friend Donny who is helping me to get my own scooter on the road let me ride his Ruckus tonight and now I am thinking that I may have to start saving for my own Ruckus to keep my Honda Elite company.

I am trying to talk my son into getting his motorcycle licence so a Ruckus would be perfect for him to get around town and we would still have the Elite 150 for travelling outside of the city. I am going to put some money aside over the winter and plan on purchasing in the spring. I can't wait!!

Nice! Did he let you ride it with the regular seat or his lowdown recliner seat mod? The latter takes a bit to get used to.

I rode it with the regular seat. this was my first time riding a scooter and I was nervous to begin with. It has given me the motivation to really get the Elite going.
I am finding out that owning a scooter is like owning a house, you are always spending money on it to improve it either cosmetically or mechanically but it is soooo worth it.

Don't fret....scooters are normally very reliable unless they are heavily modified (like Donny's Ruckus). Your Elite 150 needs quite a bit of work because it's behind in it's maintenace and because something broke but once that problems fixed and it gets a full tune up then it should be a very reliable vehicle.

I totally agree with Dan, normally if you leave the scooter alone, it is as reliable as the sun in the mornings ;D But us being guys we can never leave it alone, my wife totally forbid me to hotrod her scooter, and all we do is gas her up and do oil changes But i smoke her

The fun part of leaving it alone is that you actually get to ride it instead of just working on it

I dunno, I think I've had plenty of fun on my Ruckus, and I haven't spent very much on her outside of oil and gas... lotsa fun...

First time I rode a Ruckus I was at the Honda dealer 4 hours later with a sweaty checkbook in my hand!
