Or we could have a forum dedicated to Kimi... I know me and Chanito at least could fill it up.

I have been building medium and large scale radio control models since the hobby was in it's infancy. 50+ yrs ago you had to build your own radio units and the escapements (now called servos) were powered by rubberbands that you had to wind like on the cheap balsa gliders. You could fly or drive or run a boat only as long as the rubber bands offered steering power: it was real limiting compared to what you can buy today but it was fun. You needed more skills back then as nothing was RTR (ready to run). Here is a Tamiya Tank that had a hell of a lot of parts just to build the treads. It sounds lke a real clanking tank, the turret revolves fires a strobe and it steers with two motors and two clutches. I had large furniture display cases made to hold the whole collection as I was tired of dusting it. A friend did the excellent camo paint with an air brush, he was really talented It's 26" and weighs about 8 lbs with it's nicad paks.. It's 1/12th scale and runs a scale 40mph and can turn (pivot) on the proverbial dime.

Nice, Teds.
I was looking to get into RC cars, you know, start with some RTRs and move on to maybe some more complex stuff. But I decided against it in my poverty... I think I'll just strive for a motorcycle or something. ;D

Or we could have a forum dedicated to Kimi... I know me and Chanito at least could fill it up. There is no way DD will beat me in that one, we just need Kimi to bring her kittyself here more often, and Mr Wayne is true you have the nicest toys, i got a Xploid rc car from Radio Shack a while back and i had a blast, but it was hard for me to drive it coming towards me, driving it away was a cake

You guys could talk about your other hobbies and interests in the speak freely section but if you really want a board I'm sure we could swing something if the price was right.

Chanito: take any kid who has never driven a car and he will outdrive any of us in RC. The reason is our reactions are from driving cars and the scenery is going past us: so our reactions are stuck in drive. Kids (mine when he was 6) could outmaneuver me in RC as he had no learned reaction/behavior to relearn/overcome or compensate for. I gave this a lot of thought before I could understand the phenomenon. Kids reactions on video games follow the same logic

And there's so much fun to be had in taking the back tires of little Radio Shack RC cars and putting carpetting tacks through them so that they will drive on ice... I should look for my little bugger, but then again, I never have ice or snow, anymore...

My other hobbies are BMX's, Trials Riding, and RC cars and trucks. Vintage RC is my latest interest, anyone remember the Monogram Lightning ? It's 20 years old.

You know, I really don't have many hobbies. I play Disc Golf. I was pro wrestling. I'm reading books from Marvel's Ultimate universe. Uh... and I'm currently playing Gun on the Gamecube. I guess those are interests... And wondering what's up with this guy...
