Crazy idea, maybe have the 1st, 3rd, 5th rows line up, and offset the 2nd, 4th, 6th, by half a Ruckus(Big or Small). So it looks like a wierd Ruckus checkers board.
Pattern C would be good though

G-Walla.com/Ruckus/testalt.htmlI threw that together by modifying test pattern B slightly. I don't like how they are lined up currently, but it's not bad, I guess.
