Woot, my friend showed me how to wheelie my sisters 1980 RM60 and I am very proud of myself. I learned how to ride out a wheelie in the balance point after just 2 days . Pics - bikepics.com/members/acanz/80rm60/Now I just have to learn to do that on my CR250 and SP125 ;D.

Acanz, good pix, good wheelies. I was practicing wheelies at a light one day on a Triumph Thunderbird when unbeknownst to me behind me was an LAPD motor cop. He gave me a lecture, I told him it was a customers bike and I was just cking the adjustment of a new cluth cable I had just installed. I skated out from under the cite, that was in 1965 in Sunland Ca. on the corner of Sunland Blvd and Colebrook St. I truly live in the past

I dont get why cops hate wheelies so much. If I wheelie off my property and a cop gets a glimpse of it they flip out and start getting all mad for reason.

Triumph Bonnevilles in the 60's could wipe out anything on the street, even the Beezers (BSA) had some fast bikes. It's true they were not too reliable, electrical and weak clutches. Then they made one of the first triples and it was a jet. The real oil spewers were the Hardly Ablesons. They used the excuse that the auto chain oilers dripped all the oil One of the worlds land speed record holders for many years was a double engine triumph dragster. You heard some old wives tales mixed with urban legend Acanz, ck out your orig post at the top of this thread, I added some of your wheelie pix...

Thanks Ted, I never knew any of that about Triumphs, the only people who told me anything about them were Harley riders who hated them. Thanks for putting the pics in my post, those are 2 of my favorites. I wanted to do that but I didnt know how.

Acanz, go to where you posted the pix, right click on the pic and click on properties at the bottom of the drop down menu, copy the entire HTTP line(s) and then go to your ruckus post and use the image link and insert and paste the url between the two center brackets. If you can't make that work PM me and we will solve it. ;D
