Hello everyone! Please forgive me if this is not the proper place to post this. I am new to the forum and have not read through ALL of the posts, but I have been reading a lot of them for months now. I just wanted to say hi and ask if there are any other fellow rucksters in or near central wisconsin. I know several ruckus owners and ride with them as often as i can. Perhaps we can all have a "mini meet" and swap some ruckus stories and tear up the streets a little. I look forward to getting to know you guys!

Stevens point. just about right in the middle of the state. I ride anywhere i can, sometimes far from home. I have friends with ruckie near Wisconsin dells, Adams-Frienship, and Sparta, so i am in thoses areas with my bike sometimes. I wish i had a trailer. It would be much easier to pack up a few ruckie and head to someplace new to ride.

For sure, I've been looking into purchasing an enclosed trailer to make for some nice trips however...I would then also need to purchase something to tow the trailer with. I was looking at a Ford Explorer for now, when I'm outta college I'll go big for the Yukon or Tahoe. My girlfriend plans to get a ruckus this summer. We visit the Door County area a few times over the summer so hopefully I'll have a trailer by then because that would be the perfect area for a ruckus. I have a buddy who has a 1993 Honda Elite 80 with less than 400 miles on it. He bought the thing brand new and it has sat for ever. Just last year he cleaned the carb. out and got it running again. If plans fall through with my girlfriend's ruckus, she might have to take that. I have a few friends up in the SP area that attend college there. That would be nice to organize a ride/meet.

I do have access to a few trailers i could use. 3 or four of these little guys could fit on them. It would be great to have a meet sometime. Feel free to send me a private message if you might want to try to work something out.

You guys are teasing me. Door County, huh?? Spent a week at a campground there some years ago. Really nice place...they had a huge boat dock-fishing pier. The only private dock shown on the maritime charts. West shore...maybe 10 miles N. of Stevens Point. Beautiful place for a scooter ride. Love to come back.

You must be confusing Stevens Point with another town. Are you thinking of Sturgeon Bay? Or maybe i'm reading your post wrong. SP isn't in door county. It's about 150 miles away, but it's just as beautiful of a place for a scooter ride^^ I love this whole state. Lotsa great stuff where i am. Nice curvy country roads along lakes, rivers, and lots of wooded land full of wildlife and nature. (which gets me thinkin... have any of you ever run into a deer or anything on your scoots? i've had a few close calls...) Sadly, WI is not so great for scoots during the winter here. >< ...but i still take mine out in the snow a little^^

I can't wait to take my ruckus, and hopefully my girlfriends, up to Door County. There are endless places to take a scooter up there. You can take the fairy (sp?) across the lake over to Washington Island and scoot around for hours over there. That would be extremely cool if we could get some other people to vacation at the same time and trail some scooters up to our own little haven. Would you two, B and Duster, consider the drive to Door County this summer?

A drive to door county is no problem for me. It's only a few hours of a drive, and i drive that much almost daily anyway. Is it just us two so far as WI rucksters on this forum? I've seen a girl riding a ruckus a few times here in SP, but have never had the oportunity to talk to her. And I have seen a couple of older guys on ruckie modded out with milk crates^^ I just like riding with someone else once in a while, but they are hard to find. I wonder if there are any WI scooter clubs?? hmmmm... I should check that out.

Milk crates eh? Yeah, I don't know of anyone else from Wisconsin on this forum. Snag that girl next time she drives by. There are a few Zuma's (Yamahas poor version of a ruckus) on campus here but no other ruckus'. Those Zuma's sound like little whinney pieces of garbage. They are a big looking scooter with this girly sounding exhaust.

I wish i could snag that girl. whenever i'm riding around the city, i'm always hoping she is too and we meet at a stoplight or somethin. haven't seen her yet this year, but the weather is just starting to get good.

We could also do this... Organize a meet somewhere in the middle between us. Madison might be a good place. There might even be other scooter rallys already planned for there. Wisconsin Dells would be a BLAST for a meet/ride. If you have never been to the dells, you are missing out^^ anyway, i can easily get 3 or 4 rucksters together. I have 2 friends with ruckie and access to a 4th ruckus somebody else could use. Sometimes my girlfriend rides the 4th, but she kind of scares me when she rides. she is just one of those people that should stick with four wheels^^ There is so much to do in the dells, the meet could even be for a few days- renting a few campsites or something there. I could even get some free passes to a few of the amusment parks there. I got some conections^^ Do you have other ruckster friends? It would be great to get like 8 or more together. If nothing else, it would be a great photo opp. ^^

For sure, the Dells would be an awesome place to spend a few days. I've seen a Camo Ruckus in Madison once but I just happend to be driving by. I vaguely remember where the house is..."Excuse me sir/maam, Let's talk scooters." Other than that, I have no other Rucki friends.

Alright, alright, so I got white hair & plastic teeth. If this is what senile is like, then this is what ya got to look forward to. I guess that Sturgeon Bay is closer to Door County than Stevens Point. But I still like Door County. Visited the Dells too that year. Took the riverboat ride. My girls were real small then & really liked the college boy/indian guide. The Dells seemed to NOT be your typical tourest trap. Beautiful area. Ya'll go ahead & plan a get-to-gether. A bit far for me in Texas, but somebody's gonna have some fun. Pics please.

I live in the Milwaukee area, I'll be camping at Peninsula State Park (Fish Creek, in Door County) August 12-21. Last year I put on about 200 miles tooling around Door County. Door County is the best for scooters and camping. Let me know if anyone is going to be around.

Or, is that the Canadians?
