Just thought I'd let all the canadian residents out there that TD Bank (Toronto Dominion) is giving away free iPod shuffles. The iPod shuffle is like a memory stick that's white, holds 512mg and plays music. All you have to do to get one is to switch your major bank account over to TD. Me and my brothers did it today. It's a pretty sweet deal cuz the MSRP is about 125$. All you need is an account with either 1 direct deposit going in OR 2 direct withdrawls coming out and then convert that to TD. They do all the work. I'm a huge PC Financial fan and I'll switch back after the 3 mth lock in period. Oh, and the offer is only in select cities in Canada and they aren't advertising it. My brother told me about it cuz he read it on an apple computer forum. Just do a google search for more details.

I hate TD too. Presidents Choice banking all the way.. No fees ever. I'm not actually going to use the new TD account. You need to have either one direct deposit set up or two direct withdrawls but I put my co-op job down for direct deposit and it ends in 3 weeks.
There are service fees or 3.50$/month (7$ if you're not a student) but you only have to stick around for 3 mths so I'll end up paying 10$ for my iPod.
Only the offer is only available in Kitchener/Waterloo, Ottawa and Calgary.

Wait stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forget all that. Someone classy should call Apple and have them give us Ipods for being in a commercial. We are the Demo! Someone call or write those guys.

No kiddin about the United States bank thing, cheap gifts. I opened an account with a larger bank and when I moved, I saw all these coolers, mini banks, and coffee cups with their logos on them, well heck, they wouldn't give me one. I guess everyone wants one. Maybe I should have moved to Canada and got an iPod! Dang! |

We invaded Iraq and gave them universal healthcare. Maybe someone should call Canada and tell them our army is out of town. Also mention to them that they should bring some Ipods as gifts for the natives.

Yeah TD is redoing the promotion. Back when I intially posted it was just a small trial offer in select cities but now I think it's nation wide until Aug 12th.

Well I got mine and so did my brother. It did take about a mth for my bro to get his though. I found that if anything goes wrong (ie. you didn't switch your direct deposits when then call and ask if you're done) then they just forget about it and you need to call them and be like: "Hey what's the deal? Send me my iPod.".

Bank One in Indianapolis is now giving away 256k IPod shuffles TOO! Ha ha ha those fools! With a $500.00 minimum for three months and you have to pay two bills direct deposit from your account to theirs. No service charges for any of it. Free IPODS ! Im gonna open a couple of bank accounts!

Put a case on it from day one, my first one arrived scratched. www.decalgirl.com has hot skins, then I put an eBay case over that. It was dropped shortly thereafter, no problems. They are saying Brasso removes all of its scratches. |
