I have an o6 with the stock shock and weigh 250#. When I sit on her she seems to drop a little more than I like. Is there a shock theat provides a little more support, not to still and that keeps the handling well.. $$$ is an issue, any suggestions, or where to buy?

It is possible to swap it with a used Yamaha Zuma shock, but i dont know if it clears the airbox, i tried it with the stock box off

I have a 260mm Daytona, it's the 2nd best and tallest shock for bigger riders. I'd take $50 shipped for it. Oh it's white, and in good shape. About 500 miles on it. ;D
KP
EDIT - THIS IS THE 270MM Daytona from BSS - Sorry I'm an idiot....

I'm deleting the second post of this one. But I hate to delete someone else's post in answering, so here's jedisabre7's answer from the other post: battlescooter store, buy the chrome shock, it's like $62 plus shipping

Whenever a post gets deleted I get so curious as to what it said....it's killing me.
Anyways, yes at 250lbs you should get an aftermarket shock and IHAR's offer is a good one so take it. If not, the cheapest shock on battlescooter (the 270mm one) is a nice option.

I'm going to get that shock anyway from BSS if you don't, and I want the white one, not the chrome. thanks, gomi_

Okay, now the tough question: My wife has a Ruck and I am finding I ride it more and more. I am a stout 250# and she is only 130#. Will the 270mm shock work well for both of us? I am a little tall to ride, but I still ride.

There's no such thing as a shock that's too stiff....the 270 will be totally fine. She won't even notice this difference but you will.

I'm about your weight and the stocker will work fine on flat pavement. You WILL bottom out on speed bumps, potholes, occasilnal manhole covers so replaceing it is probably a good idea. Its cheap and easy to do. I don't reccomend the Ooki Tokki spring only from BSS - It works well but it's a real pain to install, but pretty much anything else is golden.
As far as your girlfriend, mine weighs 130 as well and it doesnt appear to be too stiff for her.
(There's a bad joke in there somewhere...)
