When you say springs do you mean the clutch springs or the pulley spring?
I have a Molassi red racing pulley spring, with the BSS purple clutch springs, custom clutch shoes, Gates belt, and a Polini with 7 gram rollers. Works great on my 06, but it was one of the last things I did, and also one of the last things I would recommend to anyone else.
Honestly, on my 03 I didn't mess with the drive train at all and it runs great. I recommend the blue BSS spring with no other mods, it makes a huge difference. You can't run the purple springs on a pre-06 without a CDI, it will just bounce on the limiter and sit there... launch is pretty high.

Blue = 6800 Purple = 7200. These springs have nothing whatsoever to do with the variator rollers. The two don't even compete, work together or anything. So no relation there. And if you run the purple springs on a Pre-06 without a CDI it will launch, then sit on the rev-limiter and slip your clutch and your belt, and go nowhere. KP

Yeah these two mods are not related....stiffer clutch engagement springs add a bit of snap (and stress) off the line if you get the right stiffness but this won't affect your roller weight needs like a stiffer clutch compression spring ( the big one) does.

To go with this, I switched some rollers today for some top end. And it worked like it should. I went from 5.5 to 7.5 and it gave me a few mph and dropped my RPM several hundred at the same MPH. Launch was affected, but it's a BB so you don't really notice.
I'm going to settle on 6.5 rollers for a good compromise between launch and speed. And as far as wear on my set up, it definitely wears the sides of the belt and the clutch more, plan on blowing junk out of your case and buying new belts often with this set up. And I don't know for sure, but I doubt a stock clutch would last too long either.

Yeah with a stiffer compression spring in your clutch it squeezes the belt quite a bit harder which does significantly increase the wear on your belt....that's why an aftermarket belt is important. With the stock belt it'll get squashed narrower so much that you'll lose a few MPH off your top end.
I used aftermarket compression springs for a while and you can get a more responsive drive train but in the end, it just wasn't worth buying new belts and adding wear to the system plus it requires keeping an eye on it so I took the simple way out and went back to the stock compression spring.

if i do put the clutch springs and do change my gram weights to 7.5..woudn't it make it so it didnt rev real high..? No and yes. It will rev very high before take off, launch on the stock Ruckus is 5400? and about 6200 with the blue and 7200 with the purple springs, if you don't have a CDI the purple springs will set you on the pre-06 limiter for a few seconds right after launch. Putting 7.5 (which is stock BTW) weights will bring the RPMs down at cruising speeds. Recently I went from 8400 RPM cruising with 5.6 gram, to 7700 with 7.5, and back to about 8000/8100 with 6.6. Hope this helps. KP

launch on the stock Ruckus is 5400? Launch on the stock Ruckus is 3500 - 4000 RPM. If you put your feet down and hold it back so the clutch slips you can get it rev as high as 4000 RPM before you can't hold it back anymore but normally it engages around 3500 RPM.
