If this has been covered, sorry. I have read several suggestions of putting stereos on a Ruckus. Why not just put an amplifier/aux in and a headphone jack on it? Plug in your iPods, Walkmans, whatever. Go to this website for an example: www.bigcee.com. You will need to click SPORT DASHBOARD on the left and then at the bottom of the page, click the IDEAS link. It is a dashboard for a Kawi KLR650, but the idea of the amp mounted to it made me think of my wife's Ruckus. Mount it into the battery cover and put your iPod on Velcro and stick it to the cover. Then use headphones or a pair of portable speakers for your music. Just an idea. I am thinking about trying it out on her Ruckus, as soon as I convince her she needs it. I will probably put it on my KLR when I get the dash built.

How would you power that? You can steal not much more than 30watts before you over-tax your electrical system.

The amp is only a 1 watt per channel amp. It draws power from the battery, I think less than 1 watt total. I found the specs and didn't print them out. It is powered through a voltage regulator and you could do the same to power your audio source. You can get rubber plugs that plug into the jacks to keep out the water, sand, etc. Mount it inside the battery cover and the amp would stay dry. Give it a coat of epoxy to make it resistant to vibrations and it would also waterproof it to a degree. Just an idea. I want to do it to my big bike. I will let you guys know how it works out. If I can convince her, I will do it to my wife's Ruck. And hopefully, I will remember to take pics.
