There was a thread on the Ooki Tocki shock spring install, and the basic premise was- skip the hassle and spend $20 more per bike and get the regular Daytona shock. You need a spring compresser that is narrow enough for the stock spring, and that's not easy to find, even at a motorcycle shop. The Daytona bolts right in. gomi_

Yeah, you'll be lucky to pay less than the price of the spring to get a shop to switch the spring for you. If you want a stiffer spring, it's more economically feasible to just buy a new shock. Take it from someone that's got the Ooki Tooki shock.

So will the 270mm shock bolt right in? I really dont want to mod anything else to much right now, just a little stiffer rear end would be great.

Yup...there's a chance it'll slightly rub on your fender because it's fatter but the worse case scenario is just that the paint on the coil spring gets scuffed a bit so it's really not an issue.
