I have searched and seen a couple threads on this topic but I still feel a little lost. Could someone please explain to me step by step how to change out coolant on the ruckus. Pictures would be really nice if it is at all possible. Thanks in advance.

I guess we should try to do a how-to on coolant change, but it sems so easy we have not given it much thought. Anyway you need to get a container big enought to hold about a gallon of fluid and low enought to go under the engine with the scooter on the stand. Starting with a cold engine, take out the radiator cover, you will find at the bottom of the radiator a plug that can be removed with a torx wrench or very carefully with a pair of pliers, after you have remove the plug, remove the radiator cap and then just let the fluid drain, when all the coolant have drained, install the bottom plug back on, it should be just hand tighten, get a 50/50 mix of coolant (aproved for aluminum engines) and proceed to fill the radiator again, here having pacience is a good thing, as filling the radiator can not be rush, after the radi is filled, start the engine and let it run for about 5 minutes, use this oportunity to fill the plastic overflow tank right on top of it, you should be able to see some bubbles pop on the radiator by the cap opening, DO NOT BLIP THE THROTTLE, once the engine seems to be running smooth, put the cap back on, shut the engine off and leave it alone for a couple of hours, then go back and refill the overflow tank, and go enjoy your scooter Oh! and lets not forget

Congrats on 100 posts Ron Rucks About the coolant change, yeah it's a pretty simple drain and fill except you need to ensure there aren't bubbles in the line from the reseviour to the rad or the coolant won't flow. To blow the bubbles out I blow into the line that comes out of the reseviour and leads to nowhere and then once there' s fluid pouring into the rad I toss the rad cap back on. Anyways, I've been meaning to do a few how-to videos and the coolant change seems like a good one to start with so I'm going to try to do one next week.
